I'm not really interested in surfing but I have to admit those tricks looked amazing. I don't care if they're easy (which I seriously doubt) or not, but in my eyes this is one of the best surf movies I've ever seen when it comes to the surfs.

Gosh... when you said "check out my upcoming movie" I though you'll release it within 1-2 weeks or so. Edit was also sweet, with just the amount of syncing such movie requires. Only thing I didn't like was the excessive depth matte colors on some places, as well us some rough masking and that's pretty much everything negative I have to say, knowing that it's probably only us, moviemakers, who'd notice such things.

I watched this movie like 5-6 times already and that's kind of unusual for me since all I do most of the time is download, watch and delete. Again, really enjoyable! Keep 'em coming, mate!

one thing i noticed --> did u 4get to change gpu settings to high quality or wot lol :D, because the edges of the knife was a bit 'unsharp' :)

Funksta 11/07/2009 19:29

OMG, the edit was awesome! Effects were great and the music wasn't bad too, actually it was great too! I really don't know about the tricks skill.. But some of them looked a bit easy, some harder. Great job!

Thanks for the comments and critism. I took a lot effort on this movie and Im glad to hear such positive feedback! :)

st0ka, Im greatful for your detailled comment and its nice to hear this from such a good moviemaker. the masking were unsmooth, I know. It was my first masking and I made them in preview modus which isnt very good I know now. but I dont really understand this part

No worries, I won't upload it on youtube. It was just Gret[9] that asked me if there was something new/good on the KZ scene and I gave him this movie. He liked it and uploaded it on their site.

Don't worry, it's just that Vegas isn't the best place to mask something out (imo) and the masking tools themselves aren't good at all. As for the matte, matte is essentially a mask, but when you say that most people would probably think it's vector masking which it is not. A matte is something like the black/white images you use to "mask" something out in Photoshop. I'm not aware of how exactly you did that in Vegas but it's probably depthdump plus some kind of a Luma key. What I didn't like in it, was that the colors were already pretty good and this effect kind of ruined the color adjustments. It really looked like you've spent some time, tweaking the color settings, but as if you've decided to throw away all your work, you've added some blur/glow just for the effect itself. Despite writing such a long post just on this aspect of the movie, it wasn't actually something that made the movie lose it's charm, it's just what I think would've looked better.

I'm also glad you've spent some time, editing it the way you wanted! I really hate those people saying: "don't comment edit it was done in 1 day" etc. shit... and I'm looking forward to your next project, expecting it to be _AT LEAST_ on par with that one. :P
