mouse reviews
im starting this topic in the hope that it will get stickied so people can just read this and know what everyone thinks of mice ...now i have had experiences with the following mx510,mx518,g5,death adder,lachesis,mamba and my favorite by far the g9x. ill give my opinions on the last 4 i used the most
g5- the g5 is great all around mouse good for kz and bhop and guns although setpoint and vista 64 have its issues if you use 4.24 you will be fine . the g5 has great response times on mouse clicks and the adavantage of adjusting the weight of the mouse (i prefer not to use weights)
cons of the g5- the mwheel does wear out rather fast and alot of the g5's end up with the cord going bad after awhile
deathadder -i used the this mouse for awhile and i never really liked it much its to light the button response times are slow when you click your mouse 1 or 2 the razer software is a huge pain in the ass to use if you dont know what everything does
mamba - now this mouse i absolutely loved for guns, it was by far the most accurate mouse i have ever used in cs, now the bad its way to heavy for kz it was like trying to jump with a brick in my hand , more pro's it has the wired and wireless capability the wireless was flawless i expected lag or skips but got none and when your battery dies you just plug the usb cable in and it charges while you play (hefty in price 130.00 usd)
g9x - now i just got this mouse about an hour ago but im loving it. 5k dpi adjustable weight very small in size which i love its cheaper than the mamba also lol . now if you use vista 64 i highly recommend using this mouse with no drivers or setpoint because they are horrible wont let you disable enhanced pointer precision no matter what you try to do it comes back on . my kz and bhop has been great with this mouse so far longjumps about the same 250-254 guns havnt been tested yet so ill add more to this later
I've only owned the G5 and DeathAdder.
I'll start with the G5.
Logitech G5: I used this mouse for about 8 months. At first I was like WOW nothing can top this for the price. I kept using it, SetPoint always fucked up, but I ended up disabling it and just used Windows settings. At the time I was only bhopping/kz and it worked its magic. It was only a few months in where the cord was starting to get on my nerves because it practically bended itself in place. The mousewheel, I never had any problems with it, but the laser I did. After some time I ended up experiencing a lagged response time on the movements. Even on a full black mousepad is wasn't doing what I expected it to do before hand. I ended up giving my G5 away about 6 months after using the DeathAdder.
Time for the review of the DeathAdder.
DeathAdder: I've been using this mouse for nearly 9 months now. The way it feels in my hand is just amazing. My hand wraps around it like it was built for me. The response time on the clicks is absolutely amazing. My reaction time with my setup is just stunning. (setup: Razer Megalodon w/ 7.1 surround sound, Razer Sphex mousepad for swiftness and the DA) A big pro of the DA is that it uses infrared laser instead of a red laser. This way you can use it on practically any surface. The mousewheel on the DA is flawless. The perfection in each mwheel click is just amazing. Response time on the mwheel is very quick, and great for bhopping. This mouse [imo] is completely dominant over the G5 for its price.
I own a Razer DeathAdder.
About DeathAdder :Used it for 7 months(still using it now).It fits my hand perfectly , like it was built for me.The clicks don't have any delay (i think so ).The mwheel response time is fast so it's a good mouse for bhops.Imo , Razer DeathAdder is better than G5(used it at a friend and my hand didn't fit it , it was uncomfortable).
i had copperhead, did my first 267 with it. only that. simply it was impossible to kz with it, no seriously it was impossible. cuz of this mouse i dont think ill ever buy something from razer again. only the look of the mouses makes me sick actualy, it looks so twisted and shit.
i had g3 and mx518 afterwards. g3 for about 6-7 monhts and mx518 abit longer. ive acomplished one of my best CS goals with them, and at all im rly satisfied from them. also i did my first 260 stats ever with g3. its simple design and thick cord which i like. i was forced to play with copperhead cuz my mx518 screwd up. meanwhile i was saving money for g5 cuz ive heard that EVERYone uses it. i was rly like "lol a dumb mouse cant improve ur skills that much". well i bought it and the first ever try i made playing was on goldbhop. actualy my first ever run on a bhop map with it. i made 1.43 like the 1st try, my rec was 1.54 b4 that. now my kz skills are better then before and im more then happy with my g5. id recomend it for any1, it takes like 1 hour for ur hand to get used with it. oh yea, my lj kinda screwd up abit, but hey who cares about lj ^^

i own 3 dezathadders, and one mamba, 2 goliathus alpha speed and control, and 2 razer manthis speed and control, the best mouses and mousepads i ever had, i just love them, logitech is like shit compared to these mousegods <3333
I've used my old Logitech G5 for 3 years, so for my whole "professional" kreedz career (belive me, it were hard times for the mouse!), and it still works 90% of the time, just sometimes it loses the signal to the pc for some secs :D

i play with a 6year old Logitech M(triangular shit)500, its getting fucked up now(slow responses and shit), but back in its days it was awesome :)
i've had my mx518 for 3.5 years now and its been perfect the whole time. since i mainly play normal cs, i have no reason to buy anything else, i'm so used to this by now and it never seems faulty, although all my friends have gone through 3+ in this timeframe. my sens is fairly low in cs, so it does mean i have to move it a lot more when i bhop or lj, but every time i try upping the sens, i'm not as precise with it, so i stick to large movements. i use it on a qck+ which is like 17"x11" (almost the full 17" for a 360 ingame)
before that i used a razer copperhead and the laser was terrible. a few times it wouldn't respond to fast movements and instead i would look straight up. luckily i had won that at a small lan, so i gave that away. both mice were with no drivers, i have no need for setpoint as i only use 800dpi and alt tab works fine for me.
hm i'm using a razer diamondback.
imo this mouse is good, but only for normal cs :/.. I'm using low sens, and it doesn't follow when I do very fast movement.. the screen goes crazy when I do this D: And i feel it like the sensitivity changes at every minute.. that's very hard to handle but well.. I'm not using a mousepad at all so maybe it comes from this..
And about the mwheel, that's good enough but I didn't test anything else be4 so I can't tell :F..
I don't recommend it, and, about this, i'd like to get some advise for a low sens user, more bhopper and kz than longjump etc, what are your experiences with mice such G5? etc.. :]

my 518s mousefeet started wearing off so i go a deathadder and havent used it much, but from what i have, its very smooth ingame. my pre is off (lj and just normal kz) but strafes feel much better.
