Use null texture for the invisible in-game sides of the brushes. That should fix it. :)

carel29/08/2009 16:33

k, ty, i will try it later:)

Try -sparse, worked for me

carel30/08/2009 11:33

whats -sparse ?

opa30/08/2009 12:25

why would you care? :P just try it

h1m1 mapper30/08/2009 16:18(edited 30/08/2009 16:20)

http://zhlt.info/command-reference.html
It's for the light/rad tool.
-sparse

Enable low memory vismatrix algorithm.

The original vismatrix algorithm was limited to 65535 patches due to its design. Its memory usage also grew polynomially with the number of patches (patches * patches / 16 bytes). This option enables a compressed vismatrix, which at the cost of extra CPU time, breaks the 65535 limit, and also uses about 10% of the memory the vismatrix would.

If this command doesn't fix the problem, don't blame me. I'v never used it. Pieshels suggested it. :P

carel30/08/2009 16:30

i wont blame u. but this might be a stupid question: do i need to type it in manually? if so, where to? do i ned to close all other programs and let hlrad do it's work? and the command was based on 20% words i understood. so 80% was like chinese language for me. i used google translation but still notihn:D

when you open you compile window, add text -sparse in hlcsg line

carel30/08/2009 19:13

ok, last question, how to add it, i dont know, because i haven't got to change something there. i also made a sc to make this bit more clear. http://img340.imageshack.us/img340/2084/qwe543534.png

Pieshels mapper30/08/2009 21:07

http://zhlt.info/download-zhlt.html ZHLT tools
I will not cover here how to set them, you should know that already...
After that, just add -sparse under hlcsg parameters.

carel30/08/2009 21:29

i already have them

Don't give advice if don't know what you're talking about. -sparse is a HLRAD parameter, and must be written in the HLRAD line (light_exe).

it was random mistake, i wasn't concentrated on typing that answer, so sorry about that :P

fastest way to fix this is using a higher -chop value.. try -chop 96 (in rad)
