kz_bkz_canyonblock
Status: Denied
Reasons:
- the jumps : If we look at the map’s name, what jumps we find here are totally inappropriate for this theme. Even though you added “block†in the name, in this map those two names don’t get along to well.
Referring strictly to jumps, they are good enough to jump them, but the main problem is the length. These jumps can’t handle a length like this. You just get bored. There is no other way for you to feel. It’s to long and the jumps don’t help at all. It doesn’t take to long and you feel like you want to give up. There are no elements to keep you jumping. The map doesn’t have a backup of a real concept and that’s why this thing happened.
You should try to add a “little fun†at the jumps, because a map so large cannot afford to be too monotonous.
- the textures : It's very much the same all the time, and you get really bored of it. It just doesn't seem "fresh" and at this length, we are expecting diversity. And not just a bit. But unfortunately, like I said, the textures are the same all the way.
- the architecture : Unfortunately, this is a “classical†kz architecture. In other words, we have cliffs on the corner of the map, and then the pillars which are placed in the middle and are raised very high; we have already seen that, and probably with better optimization. Also, it doesn’t look like a canyon… it's more like a deep hole. We expected to see something like a loooong canyon with a river beneath climbing until you "escape" and find the exit… if you know what we’re trying to say.
- the environment : Bird sounds, trees, bushes. We've seen/heard it before. In our opinion, when you’re making a map like this, you must try to find new and creative ways which can give you that spark to keep you jumping.
- bugs : there is a big problem at the fps. There are places where you jump with 3000 wpoly.
Suggestions:
-same thing we said at the tuscan map. Review every part of the map and try to create something close to a canyon.

Note: Make a changelog when/if you resubmit so we can easier see what you have changed and make the process go faster.
