About pre-strafe.
here some questions about "prestrafe"
- can anyone tell me why the max prestrafe is 299.999999 and not 300+?
- do you think it'll be possible to do 300+ pre strafe with a new technique mayby? (i'm not talking about "doing" 300+ cause i know it's possible.. i'm talking about doing 300+ AND have better stats)
- do you think it'll be possible to do 278+ prestrafe (lj) with a new techinque, too xD?
- have you ever thought of any other question related to prestrafing but you haven't asked it because you thought it was stupid? xDDD
- do you think that the prestrafe style may change? (like it did with cj)

I think 300 maxspeed is a limit in the engine to how fast your speed can be before it auto-gimps your jump. It's the same principle at work behind turning too fast and not being able to gain speed bhopping anymore like you could in 1.3 etc. I could be wrong though.
The 277 limit for LJ is also an engine limit. You can only turn at the perfect angle and that gives you 277 max, any faster turning or slower turning gives you less.

Acctually. 299.999999 isnt max pre. Did it on dcj and it was like having 300pre. 299.999998 is max id say...
didn't know that :S but you won't have better stats by doing +0.000001 pre strafe xD
The max is 300.00000000xxx etc, but theoretically its next to impossible to reach, and therefore 299.999999xxx is the maximum prestrafe - plugins tend to show bugged stats, they're not perfect. I've had 299.xxx prestrafes veeery often and still had the same slowing effect as if I had a 300+ prestrafe.
Plugins don't go wrong that much in the long run, but small errors are possible. All longjump demos in XJ show different stats in the LJ Records-list than in the demo - thats because (according to my knowledge) the "real distance" is calculated to the records-page. Plugins can't be trusted a 100%.
5.umm, lol, WJ? you dont gain higher than 300u/s prestrafe but you get ~299u/s pre thousand times easier...

exists a tecnique to get more than 300 prestrafe.
but its secret, and its called "eDark Jump Category N#2", ej2 or something like that. I think only 2 people knows that tecnique, NumB and the self eDark, 2 l33ts on cs engine. Its secrets because they say that is going to destroy kz-maps.
But many people think that is false ;)

i got 303.xxxxx pre on cj with failstats once... or dcj dont remember... and i got 276.xxxxxx lj pre, but i jump longer with like 273 pre on longjump... dunno why :S
stop geeking lj and play kz for fun, not for e-fame..
