limited by sensitivity?

Do you need faster sensitivity to do more strafes? I can do 4 strafes but I can't seem to strafe fast enough to 5, and I'm wondering if my sens is too low.

Since LJ distance is all about how much speed you can gain, which in turn is all about how many strafes you can do and how fast you can do them, doesn't it mean that to go farther, you need higher sens?

Anyone disagree? Are there PRO LJers who use low sens?

Sens is relative also. Just because pro uses 1.1 sens does NOT necessarily mean his sens is low. Sens is a complex interplay of refresh rate, ingame sense, windows sense, DPI, and mouse hertz.

Multiply by 2 your regular sens in shutting cs and it will be good for kz :) IMHO

you need fast hand and reaction ;)

i use low sens for both kz and shoot , but sometimes I have problems on corners with low sens (hitting my mouse in the keyboard , damn i hate it ) -.- so sometimes i get my sens a bit higher

sens has nothing to do with how many strafes you can do. mash a/d and you can 12 strafe. i use a pretty low sens and i dont think it affects lj, but i can't really cj pre, and some jumps on maps require BIG motion. a 360 is basically my whole qck+ (17")

what I mean to say is do you need higher sens for higher maxspeed. Obv you can mash the keys with 0 sens, but that doesn't mean u can move your mouse fast enough to do that many wide strafes in a <1 second period, let alone sync them.

I tried increasing my sens and for the first time, and after a bit of practice, I synced 6 strafes and beat my LJ rec with 249.8. But it messed up my shooting so much that I switched back. Now I'm back to doing 240s and the occasional 245+. So to me it does seem at least somewhat sens dependent.

IMO, to do a smooth and cool maxspeed, you'd rather should have a pretty low sens, a high sens doesn't make you do a big movement, which in fact is very "detailled".. A high sens just make you do more strafes ability, since you aren't limited by your desk or your keyboard, but to do smooth and cool strafes, I really prefer low sens.

nah just whatever you're used to bud!

I once used to play kz/hns with a really low sens (if I moved my mouse all the way across my 45cm wide mosepad I would turn about 200 degrees). and with some practise I really had no problem with playing like this but after like an hour or two playing I tended to get quite tierd and that is partly the reason why I tuned it up to something I could comphortably over longer periods.
when it comes to ljing with low sens I didnt fint it a problem, easy 250+s.

but when it comes to playing with higher sens I would recommend this when it comes to kz because you simply need to have the abillity to do really fast and quick movements with all the techniques that are used nowadays.

I think most 255lj was made with low sensivity.. It is easier to control ur strafes with low sensivity..

u need to geek

I have a fairly high sensitivity (you can see my crosshair shaking when I play) and I've done 254 lj block. I think its all about you getting used to your personal sensitivity and learning how to handle it.
