I don't know if this should be posted here , but I have problems with my bhop timing recently and I think it will be a good idea to create a plugin that will show how much is the perfect bhop timing which if i'm not wrong was about 0.67s and when you jumped which could be - 0.5 or something like that so you can monitor your bhop timing

so can anyone create such a plugin ? A plugin that will show you when you jumped off the block how much time it took you to do it

:O seems gr8 but can u explane some more ?

Well my idea is to create a plugin like the jump bug plugin which will show the time between bhops and since 0.67 is the perfect time for a bhop (a bit more for standupbhop) , if you do less or more it will show how much you did. I think that this is way easier to learn to control your bhop timing or returning the skills you've lost

there is no perfect timing, a perfect bhop means you jumpoff again in the very first frame you touch the ground again
=> use frames instead of time

*SchlumPF was faster*

Link: http://arenastrike.ru/plugins/bhoptrainer.rar

Usage: Bhop as much as you need, then check your console

From "=== Bhop Trainer Log Start ===" to "=== Bhop Trainer Log End ===" there will be a string like "1 0 0.000" or "7 1 0.011 early".

What is what:
1st number is a number of jump(only bhop counted, without first jump)
2nd number is an amount of frames you were on ground before jump
3rd number is a time you were on ground
also if there's "early" it means that you pressed jump one frame before landing and therefore it's not perfect bhop

Nice plugin , thank you it really helps a lot ^_^

Is it safe for recording?

kielorz07/11/2009 09:29(edited 07/11/2009 09:33)

oTcHeTo, np sir!

Trolis, i think no, cuz it gives you advantage nearly similar to showpre
but i think while running a map you wont be able to look into console to see logs :P

your plugin should be pretty fine for recording since you cannot see your bhop data while jumping. the argument why displaying the pre for bhops was forbidden is that you can see whether your pre is good or not before you finished your jump. ljstats itself were forbidden because they were just ugly to watch (that was thopas argument, not mine though i agree with the bhoppre one).

i think the data seems to be correct with the UC_Msec(tested with another sniffer tool and fps-death)
try to log somewhere possible fps(UC_Msec * 0.001) for the frame then compare to the data fps-death gives you

p.s. anyway i dont want to argue about it right now

SchlumPF08/11/2009 11:06

i never said your data was wrong, i just said Lt.RAT wasnt the first to use that cmd

kielorz08/11/2009 13:20

he was first but didnt published that

Lt.RAT08/11/2009 13:57

dunno, who was the first, and really it dosent matter...
But if it important for you, you cant take my first public post with using uc_msec (16 november 2008) http://amxmodx.ucoz.ru/forum/9-2599-16044-16-1226846593 and compare it with date of threads where it was used too... (i never saw such threads, so i cant compare)

Also that post to Connor http://forums.alliedmods.net/showpost.php?p=746064&postcount=75 where i sad him to use uc_msec instead of his method getting frametime...
