question on func_sliding
Basically, is it possible to open func_sliding doors without physically running into them? E.g. nading the perfect spot, or shooting summat that triggers the door opening?
Me and some m8s were playing a mix just now and the lower sliding doors kept opening but nobody was physically running into them (our team or theirs)
It started about 1/2 way through the game and i thought i was record a HLTV demo so we could look back and see what the other team were doing (we guessed it was them because it wasnt us (100% sure))
Unfortunately the demo was not recording cos i ballsed up my config :@
We bunged a bunch of nades at them doors, but they still dont open. shooting them dosent work either
any1 know wtf happened?
i guess they triggered some button OR there is an area which triggers the door when you stand in it
func_sliding wtf is that?
oh there isnt 1 :?
what moves the doors in a sliding movement then?
func_door.. "normal doors" are moving with func_door_rotating.
Trigger_multiple - if you walk thru an invisible brush tied into entity trigger_multiple, it will trigger another entity (func_door then) and probably it was like that. Or.. it was shootable and invisible func_button, which moved away after triggering it. So, all you said is possible :)
but it was on de_nuke
surely somebody @ google would know about invisible func_buttons
Someone just threw a grenade or weapon into it and it opened? if no, catch me in steam :D
well, some doors keep on moving if you throw a weapon in their path so when they close, they touch the weapon (model) which triggers them to open again and to infinity and beyond (or until round ends)
But I don't know if that is the solution to your question.
