Which key to duck?

Hey guys,

i just want to ask which key you have bound to the command "+duck"... At the moment I use the spacebar, but i noticed, that i always mess up the last strafe of longjumps... I think it could be the wrong button to me, but i don't know, which one is really good... "ctrl" is too uncomfortable to reach... or should i try mouse2? hmm... i really don't know and i want to go to bed now, so that i don't want to try buttons for ducking now >.<
i guess, fact is that spacebar kills my last strafe :D now my record on block is 248, but i guess with this additional strafe, if i ever make it, i could get 250 or even more...^^
just collecting ideas ;)

well how many strafes are you doing now? 5+ and 250 stats shouldn't be hard.

and i just use ctrl for duck on lj's

default commands ftw. Just use the commands you're accustomed to

i use CAPSLOCK

standard ctrl is too ar away from my fingers. and since finger 2 and 3 are strafing (left hand, 1 small finger, 2 right from small, and so on), finger 1 is automatically on height of CAPSLOCK so no timing problems :)

mostly i do 5 strafes. if i do more, they are veeery bad synced, because my mousehand and my keyboardhand act their own ways... right hand just moves the mouse to the left and right side rapidly and the left hand just hacks on the strafekeys...
if i do 5 strafes, i get a sync-rate of about 70 percent, if i have a good day... (i am jumping around for about 2-3 weeks now)

later this evening i'm gonna try ctrl, shift and capslock. so maybe one of them works fine for me... otherwise i bind all keys around WASD to "+duck", so that i just hit the keyboard with the flat hand to finish an LJ :D

Well it's all up to what fits you the best. Personally I'm having the same issue, i think I'll try CAPS as soon as i can. It seems like the best for people with long fingers liek me.. ctrl is just a pain in the *ss :P

the funny thing about it is, that a made a cs:s lj tutorial long time ago, as i were an active source kreedzer^^ i was the first one who did 254 uhit lj... but now while playing 1.6 i think, it's much better for jumping around... cs:s is so... slowly xD
but after over one year of inactivity, it's pretty difficult to start with 1.6 >.<
