hazard is right, in america, depending on where you live, people are ignorant enough to disregard that too.
i also agree on the punishment, to not allow other languages but to allow "fun" racism makes no sense.
Well someone had a good point there that you can't take things on the internet too serious.
I faced this problem many times. I chatted with someone and used irony, sarcasm or whatever and the mate didn't get it because of the non-personal talk.
No hand gestures, no facial gestures, no accent in voice.
It's shit because one thing meant to be funny or with some idea can be misunderstood by other person.

its usually better to not say it then.. but its happened to me too.
the only reason its 'funny' to some is because they dont understand the history that comes with the word....
this isnt about vonch misunderstanding everyone else, its about everyone else firstly not understanding the historic pain that comes with the word, then not having the decency to admit they were wrong, and trying to make excuses.
