i don't know who i would make one for :) i can't kz for shit :P but that is my last surf project, i would like to make a kz movie next, seeing as im in the kz-pictures crew :P

tricks:

rusty:

- 1st allinone, great idea to go from one level to the other one, liked it
- 2nd allinone, would've been a good trick too but unfortunatly its old already
- 1st waterslide, old n easy nothing i would keep on demo
- 2nd waterslide, easy with alot of potential lost, you can do this trick way harder + more interesting :/ still its good
- 1st ssx, a ok trick. cool level it has alot more potential too
- 2nd ssx is rly nice, too bad i already had the skip wall thing in my first surfmovie backwards, elsewise it wouldve been even better
- 3rd allinone, pretty cool nothing hard or impressive tho
- 4th allinone, good trick too but too predictable
- 5th allinone, kinda cool trick, too easy and predictable tho
- catacombs, lovely trick seems to be rly hard too i enjoyed that one
- 6th allinone, sweet little trick, liked it
- 3rd waterslide, easy and not rly a interestin idea :s especially after 1 and 2

biffen:

- beachparty was wicked, 2 nice elements in one trick in a level that got raped for years
- 1st journey, now thats the first trick i also had on demo, not that cool tho
- 2nd journey, did i ever show u that trick? :D we tried some hours to record it for AGE back than. insane u made it, one of my fav surftricks probably...
- forgothenamemap, that was fuckin awesome too! :D kedo got a similiar trick on that map but i would prefer yours, i knew the kz part is usable in a cool way
- hazard trick, now fuck you thats a trick i already spend several days on :D it'S a little more stylish with edgebug but the way u did it was great too, amazing u came up with this idea
- wrun2, great trick! the idea to take the ledge this way isnt new tho :( maxx9r did it in a not well known surfmovie in 06/07, he was the first one i think. that is the only trick that went rly well with the music btw

- allinone was sweet, too bad it wasnt the first trick in the movie taking this way, it prolly had a bigger impact that way
- did i show u that trick again? :E i cant believe u came up with like 100% the same tricks for ~5 times in this movie :D amazing trick, almost cyclonish pooned
- last all in one, well done, also a cool idea


editing:

i expected something more stylish and with more varity but you did a good job over all, it has decent effects that fit into most scenes, a proper cut and good (sometimes overdone) colouration. i wish some stuff was less tutorialed and with more own ideas and style but ye...
something i honestly disliked was the massive overuse of allinone and the same content like x3. u probably thought this could be the main-theme of the movie like the 2 surfers standing there watching the sunset or whatever but it was way too less athmospherical for this idea to work. also some basic effects were a little displaced and too harshly cutted of.
your music cut in that camo & krooked tune was horrible, also a real cut or sync of biffens part was almost not noticable, like in the first journey trick theres a beautiful song-part change and he just keeps on surfing in the middle of a trick... :/
its usually the last thing i say about surf/kz-movies but this movie was way too packed with overdone effects. the essential part of it is unproportional bad to the technical well done fx. i miss feeling, intention and creativity. also the movie is not connectable to fiction surfing 1&2 except for the title and maybe the song in the 2nd part... its too bad u didnt feel it as a responsabillity to do a real 3rd part in the same style...

well that was a long ass comment but i felt like i gotta give you some feedback, since i even made one part of fiction surfing by myself ;> decent movie, i enjoyed it

intro: cut was ok, you didnt do dramatical misstakes which makes it good, but the transitions and the significant points in the song werent really transposed with innovative stuff

also some random "after effects bubbles look" which destroyed the atmosphere and the general look which i got until this position for a few seconds, also titles seemed random "transformers like cool font stuff" for me

also some stuff ive already seen in the trailer was used which i didnt like (although i know that it was a trailer and not a teaser)

the editing on the surf part was decent which made me clearly see the tricks but also there was again nothing innovative and it doesnt fit making a "high-edited" intro and then a main part with that decent edting

that keeps on the whole main part imo and makes it boring to watch but the tricks were pretty good so i kept on watching

finally, biffen's part starts with a kick ass song, although the hand model in biffen's intro was very unfitting



overall a good movie with awesome tricks, but you could have made the significant points of the song more visible in the main part. although some scenes were well synced, the method you synced them mostly was unoriginal (black flashes, random uber slow mo etc)

best surf movie ! GJ !
