Does it be better the vertex tool or the gensurf in order to make lands?

i don't know gensurf, but vertex tool make wallbugs. i think gensurf make them too, but i'm not sure, i have no experience with this soft. try to use clipping tool to make mountains.

Go ahead, try that software! But make sure all faces of blocks are exactly on gridlines in hammer, otherwise you will get strange errors.

If you use vertex tool with care you don't get any wallbugs. Usually this kind of software causes landscapes with lots of wallbugs and it's pretty out of grid.

There is no easy way (unless you start kzmod mapping :P). Go vertex go!

EDIT: I tried Nem's Terrain Generator and it worked pretty fine actually. It made tons of useless HINT/SKIP blocks though. I wouldn't recommend this kind of architecture for kreedz though.
