1. how many hd-space do i need

that's rly up to how effective you gonna capture (will you exactly record the stuff you want to use or always +/-10sec like i do it for example) i remember when i did madhouse the project had around 400gb and that movie was ~4min, for brian3 i recorded everything with 800-1000fps and had around 500gb packed into my hd untill it crashed lol.. in general kz movieas need less space than fragmovie because you can use more of the footage you actually recorded
although you cant calculate it just from the lenght and fps i would recall 500gb free space as the min. for that movie you are planning

2. What is THE best resolution?

that question doesnt rly make sense but well.. there are resoluions some people prefer... most of them use 1280x720 or 960x540, both have a 16:9 ratio wich should fit most widescreens. i did several movies with 1:2 resolutions like 960x480 and a few with the old widescreen resolution of cs, i think it was 960x600...
also there are no disadvantages of taking 4:3 resoluions like 960x720, 800x600 ect. personally i would prefer this for certain movies... i still play cs 4:3 ingame and sometimes it's closer to the real ingame feeling for me to take a 4:3 one...
i'd love to watch a movie in 500x800 or 465x1337 btw, there are srsly no limits or "rules" just take whatever you like

Same as kaffee but, dont use 400 fps for a 7 min movie. Use something like 120.

hlae has a size calculator that needs 2 parameters...the resolution and the fps you are using...you could try using that

hdd space sholdnt be a problem if you use a lossless codec, i suggest the "Lagarith"

resolution should be 1:1 with the ingame aspect ratio imo

@Lazze: WTF i used 600fps for a 3min movie, so what?

Well. He's making a 7 minute movie and he apparently (i guess as he asks for hd space) have space troubles already. Wouldnt it be kinda wierd to max up your fps then?. Nothing wrong using high fps tho..
