hey all, first time I'm creating a thread on xj :))))

well, I've made a movie for friend of mine called draXx, New Era.

Nice movie in my opinion, the edit wasn't horrible at all and the jumps were decent too. "Congratulations" for your first thread in here, but too bad you misplaced it as you already noticed yourself.

I don't really know anything about editing, so I'm not the best person to judge that, but I like to see movies where the small effects gradually cause a bigger effect appear smoothly, nothing like a sudden flash of potatoes in the screen along with the track/song changing immediately with no phasing between it and very often editors that aren't that experienced just mash up effects like that and its not beautiful. You, however, didn't do that - which is great.

I often don't watch the movie completely if the editing is horrible. This movie I did watch completely.

Anyways... I'm not a big friend of these hide n' seek-maps, such as hns_bronx, hns_floppytown etc. - they're just worn out (not that de_nuke etc. aren't). I just don't like those maps at all, they're like watching jumps in, well, awp_rooftops.

Also I don't like excessive doubleducking, even though it may be hard and impressive to some, for me its a bit dull/empty and often blatantly useless. Gladly the movie didn't have that much doubleducking in it.

Didn't really see any new jumps there, but still it was an enjoyable movie for me. Both of you guys, the editor & the jumper, keep going and you'll end up as famous as me! Not really, but pretty famous anyways. You are fucking awesome!

The old jumps are really booring like always, but the ones you found yourself is actually decent :)

Not the best, but still enjoyable.

+ Some syncing.
+ Kind of a chill style.

- Always max your graphic card.
- Little colors.

And about the jumps.

Most wereï»¿ old.
You should try and find some new.

haha i just tell u what happened to me during the first scene (the title + background)
when i saw that blue background and the text i was like meeeeeeh
the red tribal stuff came in, i was like wtf how can u do.... -_-
the green arrow came in and i made weird noises like uuuarghuarrghrahr

cmon u should have just a slightly little fracture of asthetic feeling

else it had some unfitting effects and ugly moments, the cut/sync was ok overall. no new jumps i think some were quite cool like the m4 inferno jump to the upper box
