It's called multi-million dollar contracts. Most people go into the Olympics for fame... or to be sponsored...or for the joy of the sport.
All of these athletes are already famous world-wide and have sponsors so it depends on their contract and their personal choice.

slovakia were efficient, they had 2 shots on our golie first 13 mins of the 3rd period and scored 2 goals. They did what they had to do lol.
Sweden had better team than Slovakia in general but in this match we were better and deserve that. Just look at the difference between our and Swedish goals and efficiency of shots of our players.
Although we won few times with Canada but tomorrow they'll destroy us, though.
