are you kidding? probably the most ridiculous comment on this site, so people that get involved in expanding communities should be banned and only do it for fame? yeah alright LOL maybe its so people that arn't upto WR standard here have more motivation to record demos.

I really don't understand, everyone wants kz to move forward and expand but then you contradict yourselves by showing so much negativity toward other communities and future ideas for the game. It's just stupid and doesn't help anyone. I don't want to rant because I will probably get banned again for a 'flame war' but actually have a think about what you're doing, shooting down other communities for what reason? I went to the site and saw jumpers demos and names I have never seen before, good on those guys and its great to see more than just the 20~ people that are actively recording for XJ. Honestly wow, its just depressing, the game is going to die (probably already is) if the people posting here keep telling others how bad/fail there community and ideas are.

Wake up/Clue up.

Good luck with your site/community, hope everything works out. Don't listen to the negative comments on this site, its useless and uncalled for.

Maybe I should have been lot clearer in my post. They should not be banned on XJ but on second and third communty. The way I see it you choose your national or multinational community and XJ for official WRs. It is pointless to post in more than one.

Consider this: Skizo is from Hungary which doesn't have it national community but his country is included in kz-balkan. Nonetheless he uploads his demos in spanish community (since it accepts demos from entire world), unique-kz, kz-friends and now this Argentinian community. Doesn't make much sense cuz newer players are bombarded by demos from players that are too good.

You know that people lose motivation when they consider themselves too bad. So idea is that new players try to get skill by first using public server's top15, then national community and then XJ. It is pointless if ndR just keeps sending his demos to every site that wrote "we accept anyone's demo" (don't have anything against you, just used you cuz of your awesome skill <3).

So, if you want this game not to die, allow people to actually get involved and feel better about it. That is why you need plenty of communities in between noob and XJ. Like cosy was.

I am against crossposting and not against smaller communities, I actually want more of them.

ROFL :D

V0ncH...26/02/2010 13:01

is there a UK community?

lagster mapper26/02/2010 14:36

I just don't think people should be judging people when it comes to expansion in kz. I agree to some extent, some communities come up and then are gone within a week. But this game is going to end up no where if people keep telling others how bad they are, it doesn't work nor does it help anyone.

offtopic; v0nch, you like UK grim bruv? devlinnnnnnnbra~

NeMiQ2226/02/2010 14:58

m0ver said it all.

Little correction: 3 communities; XJ, national, Cosy.

the more demo's new communities receive = the more interest shown, the more interest shown = the more motivation they will have to continue.

People should send their demos wherever the fuck they want and to however many communities they want, how is more players getting involved in more communities going to kill them? rofl

m0ver feel free to stick to your little 2 community rule, just don't preach it. I'm so sick of negative idiots pissing all over new ideas and projects that will help the game grow.

remake26/02/2010 17:26

I can't get a point of that community. Is there something special? Or is it exactly the same as XJ..?

Oh really, and I am saying opposite of this?

[blockquote]People should send their demos wherever the fuck they want and to however many communities they want, how is more players getting involved in more communities going to kill them? rofl[/blockquote]Stop for a second and think really hard about young guys motivation to play CS 1.6 KZ...think really hard. Of all today's WR recorders, which one of them is playing game for less than a year? All of them are veterans and if veterans start sending the demos everywhere.

Very soon you have a copy of XJ and not a community if only participants are only sending demos to show their awesome skill.

[blockquote]m0ver feel free to stick to your little 2 community rule, just don't preach it. I'm so sick of negative idiots pissing all over new ideas and projects that will help the game grow. [/blockquote]Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh

So you actually think that having few guys with real skill sending their demos to every community is helping communities grow? ROFL

Let's compare balcan community, unique-kz, hispanic and one in original post in this thread on some particular map. And then you see same name.

Great, best spanish, ukranian, argentinian and hispanic player is guy from hungary. Oh, I forgot he is also best in syberia :D

So it is not a rule, it is a question of consciousness, if you record demos stick to one community and make it grow. If you make a WR post it to cosy or XJ, the official WR communities for WRs on both official and unofficial maps. What is the point if all other communities become copy of XJ cuz some inet fame seeker sends his demos all over the place. Isn't that stagnation, the opposite of growth? So it is not a rule, it is simply a thought "I belong to community" instead "I want to rule all communities".

So the only way to help it grow is to include new players that played game less than a few months, that can't bhop over 240, can't do 250 lj and can't cj at all. They need to be included in some community and WR holder posting his uber demos just cuz he can is not helping, he is demotivating.

Don't you know human psychology?

maximaLz26/02/2010 19:08

+1 m0ver.. What the fuck if foreign people can be first in another country ? Are the 100m race french record owned by a bulgarian ? I don't think so.

V0ncH...26/02/2010 21:02

@lagster, re-phrase

and: is there a KZ community for UK?

cahz0r Tournament #326/02/2010 23:40

i would like to see a community based on tournaments/cups not only on recorded demos.

kz[a] Hazard27/02/2010 04:08

m0ver firstly, you ARE saying the 'opposite of this'. You think the ONLY reason ANYONE plays is to get there name on a site, so people will ONLY play and get better if people from xj don't submit there demos everywhere so that they (the new player) can submit on those maps? rofl...

I've been playing for roughly 3 years. Not once have i submitted any demo to any site, yet I'm still a somewhat active member of xj, and kz as a whole. kz to you, is the names behind the record rankings. Whatever, you are free to have that view - but not everybody does - ESPECIALLY not those who are new to the game.

When i first started kz every demo i watched i was amazed, and wanted to duplicate...The more the better demo's get spread around the better, because its exposing the new players to whats possible on certain maps and gives them something even better to aspire to.

kz is an elitist game, there is never going to be a community where bad players can submit bad demos. The idea of kz for most is to get to the xj recorder level and start submitting the best demos possible.

Don't patronize me, I'm well aware of peoples motivation - ever thought about it from the perspective of the people RUNNING that community?....If they receive HEAPS of demos (even if they are from xj or cosy, or whatever) they will have the motivation to continue because they know that people are interested. However if they receive a few 10 minute times on goldbhop, they're not going to bother - BECAUSE KZ IS AN ELITIST GAME -

anyway cbf saying anything else

ROFL, then explain why would I help other communties? I actively work in kz-balkan, I helped cypress long time ago (and will again) and any other site admin.

Your theory doesn't hold up. I merely said something against mentality of an elitist sending his demos everywhere. That is IMO wrong cuz it makes every other site copy of the same.

Do you agree or disagree on this one? Tell me now.
