I didn't know if I should post this in the "Suggestion forum" or this one so I chosed this one. Mainly because more people looks in this part of the forum then the "Suggestion forum"

So let's get to the topic.. Are you allowed to record for an other country. Lets say that you don't have a record, are you allowed to choose country to record for ?
Or if you already have a record or several, can you switch from e.g Sweden to Finland just like that ?I don't know so I just wan to get some answers here.
I've had this question in a few weeks and really need to get the answers now.

I think you should be able to change country if you don't have any world record(s). Well let's discuss this.

EDIT; Just like opa said, I meant here at xj, e.g can I change my nationality to Norway instead (not that I want but you get my point)

TlofT14/03/2010 19:02

you can record for the country you live in unless there is another international community, right? so i don't think you can change countries on a whim lol

You high?

(by the way, a "Danish" player called molw is recording to kz-sca, he is a Russian guy who moved to Denmark and started recording to kz-scandinavia, he didn't have any previous records in other communities... also there are these "infiltrators" who break the rules and submit demos to the "wrong" communities, there are many people submitting longjump demos to bulgarian-kreedz.net without actually being bulgarian, NFS had his demo submitted to Climbers-Germany but I talked to dEMolite and he removed it, currently there is atleast one demo in CG that doesn't belong there; the longjump demo by payaN, a swedish guy... also unique-kz is a weird community, they accept demos from anyone who speaks Russian - it doesn't matter if you're from China, just as long as you speak Russian. There are plenty of Lithuanian demos in the site, and just the other day Gnomas attempted to submit demos without success; demos were denied due to the fact that he doesn't speak Russian)

He's german or atleast he can speak it since i played pcw with him.

->You can record demos for your "motherland" if you aren't native.
example: s1gh used to record for Isreal (he's born there) but he lives in the usa.

P.S. I think krewan meant xtreme-jumps, like having a different flag near your name in records section instead of real one

Also this dude Wemera lives in Finland yet his demos are accepted at kz-sca

Probably because he lives in an area of Finland where the only official language is Swedish and 95% of them have it as their mother tongue.

Why would or should that be possible? I just don't get it. Why would you even want that?

Countries aren't like clans... You just don't change your nationality unless you're moving from a country to another, and even then it doesn't happen instantly.

TlofT said it, you can record for the country you're a citizen of.

opa16/03/2010 21:01

Flibo does that mean that my record would count for Lithuania? :o

kREWAN16/03/2010 21:05

Flibo: I'm not intrested in changing nationality, just curious thats's all :b

I have no clue actually. If you're still a citizen of Lithuania then maybe. Some admin needs to clear this up :|
