Hi XJ.

Currently I am in St. Vincent, an island located in the southern caribbean. Here I am preparing to become a development instructor in Ecuador. This preperation period is 4 months including 1 month of study travel in South America. After this period I am going to work with child aid in Ecuador for 4 months. I really find the initiative on this school very important, and I want to give all of you the chance to make a difference in the world now.

The school offers a program of 9 months to Ecuador, a 14 month or a 20 month program to Malawi or Mozambique.

If any of you are interested and wants to hear more then write me an email to [email protected]

or check out www.richmondvaleacademy.org

Actually, yes. You get an ammount of money each month which you and your team can use however you want it. Furthermore you only pay a very small amount of money to stay at the school, get food, and airplane tickets to the place, where you are going to work.

WeMeRA25/03/2010 14:14

Nice topic dude, it could be really nice work, to work as volunteer :)
Dont ask for money guys, thats volunteer work and the feel of helping somewhere and see new areas of our world is more than money (ofc if you love nature and traveling).

One question for you .. will they pay the flight to america, or every volunteer should buy it?

The ticket to the island is from your own money. I came here from Denmark for approx. 600 USD. So it wasn't that expensive I think :) But the ticket to the place, where you are going to work and the return ticket to the school, they will pay.

Then you can go to Africa. Currently there are 2 persons in DI training here from Ecuador. They are both going to Africa

Could you tell us more about the program? What chances a person who is just to finish high school has got? Tell us more about qualifications and stuff. :)

Actually I just finished highschool in Denmark before I came here :) So you don't need any specific qualifiactions. Just an open mind. But write me an email, or your email in a private message and I will send you some information.

Good evening... Sorry for the bump.
I really need your help. Since you are not interested in this program, can't you at least pretend to be??? Please send me an email to [email protected] (remember to write @. Dunno why it changes to (c)) with your name in it, and I will love you. The reason why I ask you this is that I have to get a certain amount of persons asking about the program before my school fee is paid. Thank you all very much :)))) I really hope there are some helpful people out there!

dude the email isn't good. I tried to send you an email but .. "Some addresses in the "To" field were not recognized. Please make sure that all addresses are properly formed.
OK" . Give me a valid email and I'll help.

EDIT: Okay lol, you didn't put an "@" in the email name, but a "©". Email sent, hope it's helpful.

What kind of organization is this if you have to recruit other volunteers to get the fee paid?

Aren't they happy that you're volunteering for such a good cause? Sounds like they are using you to get benefits themself, and that is not what I would call basic humanity 101.

TlofT03/04/2010 21:50

zhady, basic humanity 101 is not answering a question with a question.

WeMeRA03/04/2010 23:20

No thanks.
