00:00.xx world records
Well first of all,i think 00:00.xx should be removed. I know that the record holders would not agree but whats the idea of acomplishing a kz map in less than 10 seconds... At first i thought well it is a great achievement from the guys who discover the sc or bugs or killed the map (the first ones on doing it) But now, with the new time-measurment with millisecond it seems pointless to me, just the fastest on doing someone else discovery.
My final suggestion will be to remove the maps that can be perform in less than 10 seconds.
what do you think ??
btw i saw a thread of flibo talking about the excess of maps (over 500) wich i agree, this might help a little bit.
That is not necessary, just let ppl play the way they want and can.
i didnt fully understood, i mean im not grabbing anyone's hands avoiding them to play...
i just wanted to see if other people thought like me, and aparently you dont. Thanks for give me your opinion anyways :)

you mean that if some one beats fairy_island[+secret] in 00:09.xx it would be removed? :D
i think those kz_man_bhopxxx maps should be splitted in [normal route] and [lame sc route]
15/04/2010 14:16so the guy who has done the sc first should keep the wr forever? it doesnt make sense... i personally don't like these wrs but i see it like a TJ that you have to accomplish with the least time possible.
i don't understand why you want these wrs to be removed, though. if you think that it's too easy to beat just do it yourself, it will bring you some wr.
and for the 10 secs maps, it makes even less sense. it's hard to find the words because it's so logical that this discussion shouldn't even be.
Basically you should just learn to ignore things PoshitO. Why care about such things when it doesn't have anything to do with you?:S
How can you say ''maps that can be done under 10 sec'' THAT doesn't make sence. You don't know all the sc's and bugs. Maybe there is some huge bug that makes you complete kz_christmas (for e.g) in 00.01.xx most likely it doesn't but I hope you get my point here young man (:

Imo maps with these scs should be divided like on fairy island or maybe only normal way should be allowed.

what do you mean by that?, because im not a record holder i cant care or give my opinion? then most of people here couldnt. I think it has to do with everyone somehow, thats why i joined the community in first place, maybe some day i would have a world record (and i dont think it has nothing to do with appreciating an opinion)

15/04/2010 18:27(edited 15/04/2010 18:34)the problem is that its not a sc, its a trick including boost gain. also faker said many times, that only maps wich originally have built in more than one way will have those [rutes] in the record list. that means shortcuts cant be considered as exra route for record list.
so there are no good arguments for removing such maps ("seems pointless" is an atitude not an argument) or placing additional ways... theoretically your "problem" could be solved just with a new rule against speed boosts etc, wich I doubt ever happen. imo
if u dont like those maps, just dont watch demos

yeah i understand what you say, but i dont have a problem with those records, and i dont hate those maps. I just thought that maybe idk YOU spr1n had the same idea about a map that can be perform in such little time (basically the opinion of all of you about this maps). that will be all
Problem is that there is no definite criteria. Official rule is "everything is allowed in order to finish map". If you start adding special ways to complete map, like here on AXN maps, question is what is next?
Add rules that prevent touching start button with speed over 275 thus adding additional routes on kz_42_amazon, xtremeblock, stoneblock? Removing uber sc's like on risk_compound? Adding route for each map with edge bug or jump bug called [-nobug].
Those rules are arbitratry, you can't selectively remove some sc's, you need to remove them all then. I would really like to see lots of map beaten in a different way by passing through most of the map but creating tough rules is...well, tough :)
Plus, adding additional routes costs ;)

you gave specific sugestion without a good reason in your 1st post, I just pointed that out in intention motivate you to think in that direction. as to me - I dont rly like those maps, but they are already accepted, so I find quite irrational to remove them now without justified reason, just because me or some other few people just dont like 'em
