Well, at the beginnin I though it will be great movie.. but after first hour of watching it start to be a bit boring. Movie length was like 2h and 30min! half of this was just "bla bla bla. we go there, we do that, bla bla bla..". Some scenes don't make any sense at all! :) But still it was interesting to watch. Most of all I like "Rock's" character because I love him as wrestler (ye I watch wrestling time to time :P ).
I give 5/10.

cheers fellas! ;)

For me is a sick movie

10/10 but it's just my opinion :P

Jackass 3D.

I love Jackass. This was just as good, hell. This was even better than the other ones.
10/10 - Such a big part of my childhood, anyone else remember those sunny summer days with your mates, doing stupid shit in a shopping cart and whatnot. Driving into bushes and shit, fuck.

Buried (2010)
Okay movie, but really slow. Like.. really slow.
The ending was pretty good, but I had some idea that it would be better than it was. Very predictable.

6/10 - For actually making a pretty exciting movie with only 1 visible scene and actor.

The Girlfriend Experience (2009)
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1103982/
Movie centered on a high-end Manhattan call girl meeting the challenges of her boyfriend, her clients, and her work.
5/10: Boring but sometimes interesting. Directed by P.Soderbergh & starring Sasha Grey, a famous pornstar.

Red http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1245526/

Quite enjoyable, watched it with some friends and we mostly talked through it so couldn't really enjoy it properly. Boring sometimes yet entertaining sometimes.

6,5/10

Pirates of the Caribbean 4
Watched it in 3D and enjoyed it very much,
so I give 10/10, well there could be more fights but still epic movie!

evuly23/05/2011 18:36

Pirates of the Caribbean 4 8/10

Enjoyable movie, quite predictable sometimes but I liked it (unlike my friends). The 3D were nothing special as usual, it's just annoying if you ask me.

Battle: Los Angeles

2.5/10

This movie is FILLED with action, there's not a minute of resting. All you hear is guns firing and stuff exploding. I got a headache by watching this movie and fell asleep halfway through it.
Incredibly bad movie that didn't manage to keep me entertained.
Of course this is my own opinion. :-P

Pirates of the Carribean 4

This movie is awesome, it lives up to your expectations. If you loved the other 3 you're gonna love this one. People who were expecting Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley in this movie aren't really allowed to be disappointed. The story was completely different and they wouldn't fit into it at all!
Watched it in 3D, and unlike evuly I really enjoy 3D. It's not that "extravagant" but it brings a more realistic depth to the scenes.

Brilliant acting by Johnny Depp once more. :P

9/10

Memento (2000)

This movie is brilliant, so brilliant. It will probably confuse you, but man. It's so smart made!
I really love being confused, unable to anticipate what's about to happen.

8/10

Limitless

Watched it yesterday
9/10 is all I can say.
9/10.
Amazingly awesome.
Loved it.

Well man, what else did you expect, since it's a BATTLE movie? I mean, the title says it all...

Have you seen Saving Private Ryan?
Flags of our Fathers?
Letters from Iwo Jima?
Band of Brothers?
The Pacific?

Those were all war movies/series that managed to keep me entertained. They had a reasonable amount of action in them, along with a good story, good connection to the characters.

Battle: Los Angeles didn't manage to connect me to the characters. Heck, I wanted them to die. Their given mission wasn't interesting enough for me to even WANTING to finish watching. It was incredible predictable, a big old cliché.

I did expect war, but this was just bad.

[blockquote]Maybe I missed a key part while I was completely baffled that this is the movie they decided to make when they had millions of dollars to spend. Why? Completely predictable, a cast of characters nobody cares about, and we're required to suspend belief time after time just to move the story along.
[/blockquote]

[blockquote]Aliens arrive and invade, but it's OK, they don't have air support. How did they get here then? They have very advanced weapons, but apparently have spent no time learning to aim. It takes lots and lots of bullets to kill the aliens at first, but after a while just one will make them explode. And any time our marines make a significant kill, all action stops so they can Hoo Raa each other and dance a bit. Nevermind the firefight, the aliens will wait.

Add in shaky camera work and this mess was virtually unwatchable.
[/blockquote]

[blockquote]Poor character development and a worn out storyline make this a very forgettable film. I really didn't care who or when the next death would be.[/blockquote]

Not my words but I share the same opinion.

Memento:

I realised what was going on pretty quickly, kinda ruined the film for me. 5/10

Name: The Tunnel
IMDB: Find it your self, pff.
Rating: probably 8 or 9

It's about Australians who venture down into sewers under their city and find something that hunts them down one by one.
A very scary movie in my opinion. But oh well im faint of haert when it comes to horror movies :D

I recommend you to go to see it if you like scary horror movies

You can download it by torrent here http://vodo.net/thetunnel

It's legit due to their idea of trying not to make teenagers criminals by downloading movies then they just make them for free or something. Good for us, no profit for them $

First of all, sorry for the little misunderstanding, I thought you were aware of what movie you're about to see. You just can't compare Battle: Los Agneles with those movies, because they're completely different, except the war theme ofcourse.

If you expected this movie to be like 'Saving Private Ryan', or some mediocre director to make a masterpiece, like if it is Clint Eastwood, or Steven Spielberg, then you must be pretty naive lol. The movies you mentioned plus some others are so great, just because they're few of its kind, and it's not only tons of money requiring to do them. Besides that, they have nothing to do with aliens.

In BATTLE: Los Angeles, it's all about aliens fighting with people.
If you have seen the trailer before watching the movie, you would've noticed that the director has emphasized on full of effects action scenes, with all the shooting, explosions and so on. Besides, a few movies were already made with the same idea of aliens against humans, so I was pretty much aware of what I'll see in this one. Me, myself wasn't fascinated of it, because like you said, it was predictable, and the aliens were pretty stupid (I also disliked their appearance). But the rest was just like I expected it to be. It was OK.

Battle: Los Angeles is nothing special at ALL, but apparently you were left with the wrong impression about this movie, clearly you had totally wrong expectations. Maybe that's why you're so disappointed...

Anyway, 6.5/10 would be just fine in my opinion.
