Hi guys,

I'm now on windows7 and I have a weird bug with my sensibility.

It's when I'm playing on counter-strike. At the beginnin there's no problem but after a while my sensibility change during 1 or 2 sec. I have a g5 and had the same bug with the g500.

I don't if this thread's the solution of my problem because I don't really understand it :D http://xtreme-jumps.eu/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?218048

that thread is about mouse acceleration. if that were the problem you would notice it any time you move. but you're saying it just changes for 1-2 s at a time?

Not sure but I'll give it a try:

Download the mousefix for win7 (fakers link) http://www.filefront.com/16520577/MarkC_Windows7_MouseFix.zip/

And try goto steam -> games -> right click on cs -> properties -> launchoptions and then write:

-noforcemaccel -noforcemparms -noforcemspd

Else try to switch your usbport. That one you're using can be damaged and will cause problems to your mouse.

I also have the same problem with my g5...trying to switch dpis during cs is impossible...even had to uninstall setpoint

Welcome to windows 7 :)

Pray to god the link in my thread works (it worked for me one time, but now the bug is back and unfixable :/).

If it doesn't work you need to go back to XP to fix it afaik. Tryed all... other usb host controller drivers + controller (jmicron instead of intels' from the mb drivers), different usb ports (esata/usb combo), nothing worked :/

I got g5 too. And also sometimes does my mouse get REALY fast in like 1-2 secs and after that it's fine again. and it keeps on doing that many times. And it does also lag like it doesnt react when i do movements

I had this bug since december and I have a deathadder. It's like sens goes +200 for like 1 sec or less and makes me do at 360 at lj...I've done some research on it,it mostly starts to happen if you set steam to low priority and hl.exe to abovenormal (a trick to get 100fps) and it only gets "activated" at some special maps,so I thought some .wads may cause this..

What I know of the problem is actually because the mouse has no axis sensitivity lock, well it has but it has problems with the new win7. There are a few things you can try, the faker thread or update your mouses firmware.

It was a pain updating my Razer Lachesis firmware because simply the Razer corporation sucks balls when it comes to scripting their software. I'm not even kidding, mouses are great but the company does nothing to fix these issues.

Pushing this old thread ; anyone got it permanently fixed? Or atleast temporarily?

Push, sorry for dp. Same as written above, any solution?

Harley23/07/2010 18:50

i'm using windows 7 and don't experience any problems at all (mx 518), however i dl'd the cpl gui right after installing steam on this computer. it contained a mouse fix, so you might wanna try that one (just google for it).
