Concerts / Festivals

So, visited any festivals this year?

Tell us which, if it was a nice experience, what music you listened too and so on.
I was at Roskilde Festival in Denmark this year, with quite a few friends. It was really awesome, because there was this "warm-up" which included a few up-coming bands playing and people just drinking and having fun. The last four days at Roskilde Festival real music acts came on, it most of them were pretty cool.

Gorillaz
Gorillaz was a really nice experience, since I've listened to their music since their first album. Damon sung really well, and had a few guest singers as well. I was really suprised when Bobby Womack popped up on stage. He has an amazing voice and was awesome to hear him on Stylo.

Them Crooked Vultures
Well, I've only heard of these guys, but never listened to their music, but it was so fucking great. The members from the band are all famous mucisians (Dave Grohl, former drummer of Nirvana and current guitarist/front singer in Foo Figters, Josh Homme, Former front singer of Queens of the Stone Age, John Paul Jones, former bassist of Led Zeppelin. They did an awesome job and was the second best band I heard. Especially Dave did an awesome job at the drums.

Muse
Well, this is a band that everyone should hear live just once in their live. They're simply just amazing. The concert was fucking awesome, both the lights, the mood of the crowd, just everything. Without doubt the best concert I heard and also the one I had been the most excited about.

Pendulum
Well, fuck me. These guys really got the crowd going. They had +20.000 people jumping, screaming and dancing even though they didn't even play at the largest scene. The singing wasn't really impressive live, but I didn't expect that anyways, but they did an awesome job at the music. Really fantastic party starters.

Mötorhead
Not much to say. Just rock in it's purest form. Was great hearing these old guys giving it all they had. Especially the Ace of Spades was great.

Jack Johnson
Really an amazing sing and songwriter. Really chill concert. People was sitting on the crowd, enjoying the music, the sun and just singing along. Really cool concert.

I heard more than this, but I don't bother writing more right now. Hope you'll tell your festival experience.

The festival season has barely started :(

I have never been in a festival, but I'm going to Sonisphere in August. Good stuff there.
