I'm serious lol, if u look kelta vs 26 u'll see that it can be done with 2 seconds less or more..

then do it

ok

I think the most reasonable list is:
cg_nowhere [ro] Juv3 03:19.05
kzcn_brickblock [au] volte 03:44.02
Those two maps look relatively easy to beat. So the ratio is 50%.

zhady had made a big misunderstanding of koukouz's original thought. Maps like kz_greenplanet are really sucking for a player who wants to geek on a map for his first WR. Maybe for players who entered top5 these maps would not cost as much time as larger maps, although larger maps are technically easier to beat.

cg_nowhere was beaten by pizza^

It was only beaten by 0.4 second. So there is still great chance for upcoming WRers.

how about kzro_dahnajourney ? koukouz got hasty and made a lot of mistakes xD with some very very good geekin' ,the run could be more slow but, jumps done better without so many fails xD just slower run and much more "focus"

the run has fails that's obvious, but you missed the point i think Koukouz was refering to more average maps for newcomers, not many will try their first world record on a Hard-Extreme map.

dooom02/09/2010 05:51(edited 02/09/2010 06:36)

this thread is pretty retarded. what is a newcomer anyway? One that started playing 2 days ago? or one that has played for a long time and just doesnt have wrs yet? If the latter, then it relaly depends on the person. If you can do 255 ljs consistently, go for maps like drewbie longjumps, sandblock2 etc. If you're a good bhopper, then any bhop map including bkz gfoldbhop shouldnt be much of an obstacble. If you have a lot of patience, then go for kzbighardclimb or w/e. In the end, theres no such thing as "easy" records for everybody, otherwise they would've been beaten by everybody already.

@shockl
"LOL.. It seem like people completely re-routed in the opposite direction. Explain to me how fuck goldbhop and sandblock2 are easy to beat >< "

Beating them might not be an easy task, but they can easily be someones first records, same goes for any map. You dont have to own 956 world records in advance to beat goldbhop/, you just have to be good in that area of kz.

Cricket...02/09/2010 06:30

to be honest doom is right, so dahna would be an exemple for longjumpers xD

Playmate02/09/2010 14:36

Longjumps have nothing to do with extreme maps imo (almost)

koukouz mapperrecord holder02/09/2010 15:16(edited 02/09/2010 15:16)

Bibo/sooshka/dooom is totally wrong I would say... there are big effectiveness differences to make WRs between someone who is used to recording and someone who is relatively good but never recorded before. This for few factors like self-control, practice,...
I made this thread to help players whose skills are not perfect, but enough to beat a WR if they also include the luck factor. If you really think that everybody has the same level that's "pretty retarded", because obviously not everybody can beat "goldbhop, sandblock2 and kzbighardclimb", but new players might be able to record less popular maps that have been less played before, and this thread is made to gather these maps.

For dahnajourney, I know it's really really bad, but I made it to give a record on it and eventually have some kind of battle with an interested player. Though I don't think it's easy to beat for any newcomer (my conception of "newcomer" is like decent bhops, weak strafes, weak technique). What Playmate said is true... extreme maps don't really have anything to do with longjumps, some longjumpers can't even make the first stage of sdb2 without cp...

One last thing, please stay on-topic, just post maps that you REALLY find easy to beat for a NEWCOMER, then I could eventually make a list in the first post.

i think that is difficult, because imo this topic is a bit subjetive. maybe an easy wr for me is not easy for you, or for other players, but is not a bad idea

Cricket...02/09/2010 18:03(edited 02/09/2010 18:05)

Heh i started doing long jumps... and the funny thing is i can't even get near to a record on a easy map... but on hard maps.. i quite get near... i have weak run.. i'm quite new to kz too.. but i don't have a good bhop cause i started doing longjumps first.. never liked bhop...

Depends on what the player likes most... and if the map fits the player too... if the player doesn't likes the map i doubt he can do the wr.. and most cool maps.. have very good recs.. even if geekin' if you are not so good and you don't like the map... you will not focus on it so good that you will break a wr..

deus?02/09/2010 20:02

many longjumpers are slow on speed maps including me, since i spending more time climbing extreme stuff and doing longjumps than bhopping and geeking speed maps. in example my best time on nightblock is 2:05 so far, it took me few runs tho i wasnt geeking alot, but still too far away from wr ;]

cahz0r Tournament #302/09/2010 23:07

there are many maps to be taken by a newcomer. if you have 1-2 years experience in kz, a g5 and a very good pc then you are very close to do a wr.

Punk^02/09/2010 23:30

I've you've been playing KZ steadily for 1-2 years, you're not a newcomer :-)

as kukuruz mentioned above, newcomer ment as someone who never did a wr before and want to make one. considering a newcomer who just started kz would be retarded in this kind of thread.
