Well, of course this is can be true, if you simply think logically. I mean, imagine your prestrafe is 5,xx units per second and your topspeed is 3,xx faster than drons longjump. Ok, you are faster at the start-off (good prestrafe) and you are faster at topspeed because of your fast prestrafe. You just jump faster, but nobody said that you do like antistrafes at the end of your jump that make you move kind of slower. You have maybe reached the topspeed in the middle of the jump-length, so fps death shows it...
In constrast to that, dr0n has made his longjump with a slowler prestrafe which means he is a bit slower than you. And if he jumps with very little slower speed pretty consistently and reaches his topspeed at the end of his jump, the result can be like your example.
Tell me if I am wrong, but this sounds quite logically for me.

no man i dont say that its buggy , i meant that the speeds are kinda buggy cuz there are ppl with much higher speeds and they jump less units

ye ur maybe right but the hl engine is gay so u can never be exact .. its just strange

man stop posting highly intelectual posts ... that just sucks ..if u want to impress someone by using long sentences and complicated words here isnt the place .. u r the spammer if u ask me ... i mean gay because it is strange , can u explain why highjumps are ubereasy with bhop and uberhard with a normal jump ? so for normal longjumping the speeds arent everything , maybe it has something to do with the timing or something i dont know but it is strange ... i dont care if my post is useless to u , i just said that i agree with ur opinion about the topspeed and prestrafe stuff , i didnt ask if u think that it is sensless or not
