Sound problem
Hi guys, i see that here on xj is many tech specialists, so i'll give a shot and post this thread. So i recently completely lost my sound, it happened when i gave my pc to the repairer, he fixed what he was supposed to fix (problem with starting computer) but when he gave back my pc the sound was completely lost. There was a need for me to install/reinstall all the needed stuffs such as Java's, DirectX and all others. Got all the needed sound drivers and stuff but still don't have sound. I don't think that he killed my sound card. Sooo any tips what should i do to get my sound back? Used search but was nothing there.
Will be glad if you guys can help me out.
well, how do you know there is no sound? Try going through these steps:
1. i know you've checked all the cords and stuff so that they are properly plugged in... but have you tried different speakers/headphones?
2. when in Windows, do you receive any errors or such? (eg: when starting winamp -> "bad direct sound driver")
3. did you have an onboard sound card or a standalone one? (if you had a standalone one, check to see if its still in the case LOL)
post back your results. cheers!
If boom's steps dosen't work, I believe you should have the guy fix the sound for free? If it happened after he had his hands on the computer, there's a chance he caused the problem and therefore should he also be the one to solve it.
Try'ed 2x headphones and speakers. They all are working with my mp4 player. Nope no errors. I'm not 100 percent sure on what you mean but i'll try to think logically and check back for an answer. He's in vacation for whole summer.
