What is it? Being able to wear a tag?

Well, the main reason imho is having /real/ friends (not those whoring flists) separate themselves from the others (something you may have missed in the internets, remake?).
But it seems most clans are from geeks who want to be a part of something so they whine like bitches and create things that noone understands.
Also, there are community "clans", but that's not what you asked I'm guessing.

I actually meant community clans, not usual (friends) clans. Changed the title to point it out.

a very odd phenomena i experienced in the surfscene aswell. there were people changing their clantag every week and not just a few, always like 10-20 people. and ofc the members were limited to their "community" (thats what i understand as a clan)

i think "clans" for kz, surf and moviemaking are quite sensefree no matter how big or organized they may be. in standard cs they can be handy sometimes but a random team is just as good.

i think its the need to be part of something bigger and therefore having a bigger impact or power on people without clans. a hilarious thought but that's closest to reality i guess.

Clans are for teamwork games like hns and normal cs.

I would also like to know the point of view of a KZ community-clan maker, because I was always wondering what it could bring to gather all the WR holders (because it always requires few conditions like skill and stuff) and make them wear a tag. I used to be kz.random but it was so senseless that I decided to quit. I totally agree with Cola^, there is no other (good) purpose in my opinion to have a clan than for having some serious wars and competition.
PS: I jump on the occasion to tell people who might ask to be "FDP" that this is not a KZ clan and not meant to be joined by people I don't know even if they got skill. Please, stop asking to join :)

The last real (and also legendary :D) clan I was member of was CXG. We were just friends having fun together, playing kz while having good laughs in Teamspeak.

Nothing really serious though.

It just happened that we were rather good in kz back in the time (WR speaking) with Perfo, loty, donakos, bbx, Himuraken, caps, HeL^_x and myself ^^
