What the hell have hns to do with kreedz? Dude, this is a kz- community and NOT a hns community. If you want to talk about hns please visit http://id-game.net

Actually, longjump record of one is directly proportional to one's ability to play hns. I personally have yet to seen any evidence of this, but I do believe it's the truth.

I've made a few theories about this case, one is that higher the lj-skills, the better trickjumps one can do. This means, for an example, in nuke, round starts, you jump to the red rock, wait for the ct to appear, ct appears, you jump to the yellow roof next to the rock (yard side) and after that you do the all famous "T3dbundy-jump". Doing this will give you significant amout onf respect and glory. The ct will be unable to follow in most cases due to his/her low longjumping skills.

That was just a practical example. Of course, sometimes the ljpro fails the jump and sometimes the ct can follow him there. There are many places like this in the scene of 10aa hide and seek (dust2 short box, rooftops ljroof etc).

Altough it is possible to use the technique Countjump to jump in spots in which you would have to deal with edgefriction. But countjump slows you down (about 1/5seconds) too much to be effective in hns which, like kz nowadays, is a millisecond game. You do jump longer with cj, that's a fact, but is it really worth it to risk it all by attempting to jump it with countjump, which is much more easily failed than with lj?

The other theory is that with better strafes you can gain more speed while bunnyhopping thus making catching/running faster. I think this is pretty self-explanatory so I will not go deep inside of this.

So what I'm saying that m4r1o could actually be right, you guys are just too ignorant to see the real thing and live in your fantasy world where one with 215 longjump record can beat one with 249,

I don't know anything about the scene of 100aa hide and seek so I can't comment on that.

Abbrevations:
kz - kreedz
hns - hide and seek
ct - counter-terrorist

I haven't been on a single hns-server where aren't 2-3 cheaters online at the same time.

I think that if you want to be considered atleast best 200 hns players in 100aa you should be able to hit perfect standups all the time (are there even 200players? lulz). And for being good at hns you just need to learn all the stuff, not getting nervous when someone close to you, being able to perform doubleducks very well, and you must be able to improvise at every second..

Dude, there are some jumps which require technique and good thinking, in HnS you have to be able to trick opponents, example - ladders, which would lead to misunderstanding of that moment and u'll be able to think about next jumps and possbile escape routes. With straight Longjumping you will achieve nothing. Other thing is great timing in doing bugs like jumpbug, eb, db or smth, again, Longjumping has nothing to do with it. The third aspect is teamwork, in default 3x3 matches, the team must communicate, to get the enemy to dead end [ct chases T and the T runs straight in other CTs hands], NO LONGJUMPING!

edit: so imo, best LJers wouldn't be the best hns players.
