1. Introduction
First of all I would like to point out that I have written synopses of the paragraphs below below. If you find my empty rambling too arduous and tiresome I recommend you to read the shorter versions of each paragraph. This post contains some of my wishes and critical views of certain thread-related subjects.

2. Analysis and categorization
Among the main gift priorities people have mentioned things like money, games and electronics and beside those there have been some more abstract wishes such as relationships, spending the time with friends or even having a dinner with a special friend. People who want money tend to ask for it as a gift if they are either unsure of what they want, are ashamed to ask for anything else, they don't want any gifts or some other peculiar reason, and the same amount of categorizations go for any other physical gift you can give. Something like a computer, a game or a mobile phone are gifts which you can either want due to an interest towards it and what you can do with it, you may want it because your friends are using the same products, you are unsatisfied with your current hardwares or perhaps out of greed or something else. Well... you can categorize anything, but what binds these physical gift categorizations is the yield of personal gain and satisfaction, or in other words plain and simple greed for the physical objects.

3. Possible gift list and sociopathy
The list I would hand out to my relatives/friends would consist of a few plain and inexpensive items which can be easily found from any shopping mall. Stupid people tend to think that they are obliged to hand out these pointless items to others as a sign of something abstract and ungraspable. When you receive a gift, however, I claim the average gift receiver does not really think about the trouble the person might've gone through to purchase it for you. You might feel a slight level of gratefulness depending on your humility, but that feeling is overpowered by your thoughts of putting the item in use. Or am I just a sociopath who can't appreciate anything? Maybe on some level. But back to the subject of the list which I could see physically existing: I might write down the most mundane things you can imagine, and if I am interrogated about my true wishes I defend myself by shooting out the m-word; money. Then those brainless gift purchasers might be fooled to think that I am just bad at figuring out what I would like to be given as a present.

4. The real gift list - Part 1: Relationships
The real list, which is inexistent and always will be, would contain some more abstract wishes such as the previously mentioned relationships. I could be considered quite misanthropistic and spiteful towards almost any social activity, but among this planet which is filled by mindless fools I imagine there are people who could fit into my relatively small, yet resolute, friend circle. Perhaps you thought that by relationships I would mean I was hoping to find some girl to love, fuck and order to wash dishes, but relationships include your friends and such. I've talked to a lot of girls, from ages 10 to 45, and the average conclusion I have come up from this experimental voyage of studying the crazed female mind has been a rather negative one - but as I previously stated in this very paragraph: I could be considered quite misanthropistic. I find women to be neurotic and often rather foolish, lacking the logic which is replaced by emotions which can be too powerful in many occasions. If I was hoping for a girlfriend she would have to fit to all of my various requirements and perversions.

5. The real gift list - Part 2: Intelligence
Other metaphysical matters which we can interpret in words and perceive the meaning of these matters in our minds yet we cannot visually see them or be in any physical contact with, like intelligence of all its branches; social, kinetic, mathematical, lingustic intelligence et cetera would be entered into this inexistent list of metaphysical wishes. As perhaps everyone else here, too, I would like to increase my level of knowledge and intelligence in all categories. I would like to tap into an inner source of inspiration/motivation and start studying hard. The kinetic intelligence should be improved in other ways than just perfecting my motoric skills and reflexes, but also it should contain other forms of physical training. My physical and mental health would be improved by an increase of my intelligence. Intelligence would probably be my main wish, as it would make my other dreams to become true as well. Social intelligence is required for managing friendships, and you can also figure out the importance of the rest of the branches yourself.

6. The real gift list - Part 3: Feelings
In the third paragraph I pondered the possibility of me being a sociopath, and the answer remains unclear. Perhaps the following speculations might shed some light on the subject. A gift I would most certainly like to have is something I know I may never receive. I will die never having experienced even the lowest level of happiness. Perhaps there are moments of joy in life, but anything beyond that is completely unthinkable. Psychopathic personalities are often described as emotionless, or cold as others may say, but I do feel something sometimes. I would like to know what love and affection feels like, and the definition of 'happiness' sounds quite good, too. As I do experience momentary joy, sorrow or even guilt, for example, maybe I am not a psychopath/sociopath. I don't feel "linked" to anyone except my two brothers, but still people who I call my 'friends' seem to react to my presence in a way which I can only understand as some trust/"love" from their part. I hate all my friends. I only play along and try to avoid any longer social events than just hanging around for a small while. What may strike you from this behavior is sociopathy and antisocial personality disorder. Sociopaths can't engage in "deep friendships" and antisocial people don't enjoy that sort of stuff very much. What I mean by this paragraph is that I would wish to have a deeper, spiritualistic sense of connection and love etc., but I'm afraid that is something I may never have.

7. Closure and other insights
Well... I can't really think of anything else to wish for. Even though the list may seem quite short, it contains things which are much harder to obtain and serve you in more versatile ways than any apparatus, a mere physical gadget could. There are many great quotes I could attach to this post, and many of them would come from a great Greek philosopher called Diogenes of Sinope, also referred to as Diogenes the Dog. Posting his name instead of his quotes may bring up your curiosity and make you google him, and you may find yourself your favorite philosopher of all times. One of the branches of intelligence which I forgot to mention is wisdom. Being wise is completely different from being smart. Wittyness is another branch of intelligence as well. I consider intelligence to be the main category of your minds capabilities which springs off some subcategories such as smartness, wisdom and wittyness. Wisdom is philosophical insight, its like smartness without matter. Being smart means you are logical and when it comes to solving tasks you may be the man for it. If you are quick-witted you may be good at understanding sarcasm, irony etc., and you can come up with a clever solution for a problem and so on.

8. Apology
I apologize for starting to ramble offtopic issues so much once again, but when my mind starts to tick I don't want to stop the flow of creative thinking. Restricting your mind yourself is really sad, just let your schools and other institutions do that for you. Once again: sorry for ruining your life. I know it was important and you had a meaning for it.

Synopses of the 8 paragraphs above below.

1. I lie about these being "synopses".
They're just a small & bad description of each paragraph. I guess.
2. Main priorities of the common people: money, games/electronics.
The categorizing of these gifts proves them to be a product of greed.
3. I would wish for plain and inexpensive gifts,
and if a more detailed list is asked I would defend
my apparent humbleness by asking for money.
4. I am a paedophile. I want friends. I am lonely. I want girls.
5. I wish to improve my social, kinetic,
linguistic/verbal, mathematical and philosophical intelligence.
6. I have problems and I want to love you.
7. Nothing more to wish.
Intelligence is an entirety
comprised off of branches such as smartness,
wisdom and wittyness. Search for Diogenes of Sinope.
8. I apologize to you, but I still manage to be disrespectful.

If the post was too long to read, you could only have read the section "Synopses of the 8 paragraphs above below." in order to save yourself from the horrible amount of time the reading of that post would have taken out of your life.

kafds24/12/2010 16:23(edited 24/12/2010 16:26)

We are closing up to the very moment itself: it is Christmas eve, and people are going berserk while attempting to perform some last-minute cleaning and organizing prior to the following events. In some countries the presents are already handed out today, whereas in many other countries they are still out of our greedy reach. In Finland it has been quite traditional to give the presents in Christmas eve instead of the Christmas Day itself. As the moment of wishing abruptly ends, we must face the fact of not receiving anything we wished for, but instead we must accept the presents which you are given without a reason. Let us slowly begin the posting of what we actually received instead of what we wished for.

We "civilized" people with our sophisticated tools and trinkets tend to think we are superior to many others, and due to our insane thoughts of excellence and apparent regularity we tend to think the traditions performed by people in different cultures may be quite peculiar indeed. I think we are all completely crazy and the human species should be erased from existence. If you think of an African tribe dancing naked for some gods of fertility, and they throw a couple of fetuses into the flames they are dancing around and yelling their gods name(s) you might think it is somehow just weird and perhaps even unacceptable by your twisted standards. Our celebration of "Christmas" and other events do not really differ much from the weirdness and unfamiliarity of our actions in comparison to theirs from the perspective of a blank/cultureless anomality. We celebrate the birth of an inexistent god (or "god's son", but we all know that God is Jesus and Jesus is God). We kill animals and eat them and we unwrap these weird and symbolic sacrificial gifts which we receive in exchange for some paper money and round metallic objects. We wrap them up in ceremonial paper with some pictures of things like the Santa Claus; yet another inexistent anomality. We are completely crazy and we should all make this place better by attempting to earn a high status in society, some wealth and then by purchasing nuclear bombs and weaponry, perhaps by brainwashing your country, and then bombing every zone with a high centralization of population.

Bad Christmas, everybody!

@ kafds, your thoughts are pretty close to me, i pleased to know that i'm not alone in some outlooks in life. Thank you.
But you're posting it on the forum of gaming community. Most of people here could be too young or poor or stupid to understand or ponder about this feelings and points. Imo its wrong forum for posting those thoughts.
