Is it worth to upgrade mx518 to G5?

hi guys, i want to change my mouse-mx518. Sorry for this thread ,but its hard to search about this.

mx518 is good,but i think its bad for lj.

my rec was 250 by 4strafes, but now only Stable at 241-243,cause too lazy to practice.I set 518 to 250hz today,I found my LJ improved 3units.

I heard G5 was the best,

so, I want to buy G5,hope it can help my lj.

I had a Logitech MX518 and I kind of agree with you: its not really a good mouse for longjumping. I did my first 254 longjump block (and second, and a few other times) with it, but when I upgraded it to a Steelseries Xai I managed to improve all of my block records within days, even though it took me a long time to set those old records of mine. A Xai sucks for Kreedz, though. I don't recommend you to buy a mouse for longjumping purposes only, and thats the main use for this mouse - I can't bhop with it... however G5 is fantastic for both longjumping and climbing/bunnyhopping. I'd say its highly recommendable to upgrade your MX518 into a G5 if you aren't restricted by the monetary restraints it may cause some people. The main downside of the plan to buy G5 is the fact that it is not being made anymore, and I guess your hope is to search an second-hand one from an individual "salesman".

I haven't got any of the two mice, I am with a4tech x7. People say it's not good etc but it works fine for me. It's pretty good for bhop, even though it's not the best LJ mouse. Sorry for being offtopic. Judging by the rumours you should upgrade your mouse up to g5.

u r right. and ofc i did not only for longjump,or that i will buy razer.

the mouse which can help my lj must be good at bhop&climb,at least not worse than MX518.

so I just want to improve my lj,then i can done many maps easily. With 518,its always fall when o CP whih bad strafe fell.

i have a mx518 i can do a 253 with 7 -8 strafes and with 500 hz works good for me

Yes, it is, but as Quality said, G5 is not being produced anymore even though it was one of the best mice (mouses) ever.

You can probably find it somewhere new, in private or something, but stores do not have it anymore.

Well i dont know if there is any real differance in mice..I had a mouse inteli 1.1 then a x7 now a g5 and with all mice i was pritty happy and didnt find them different x_X all tought i switched from mouse filter 1 to 0 and back ... all so played from some pc clubs with random mice still was able to hit 254 stats pritty easy x_X so i gues its about useing a nice mouse and geting used to it >< I think people belive that some mice have a Lj script in them or something x_X Id advice you to use a mouse you like and not buy a mouse people say its cool ... you may get great results in the end from a no name mouse ..Thats the reason i will trade in my g5 for a CM sentinel mouse in a few days just to check it out and see if i find it more sutable for my needs :)

Well Logitech decided to just stop making it and put their focus on the new mice such as G500 which they call an "upgraded" version of G5, even though that's not the case if you compare the mice in kreedz/ljing.

i dont have experience with g5 but i was having g500 on KZ setting i make 252 blok in less than 2 days and now iam owner of g700 and i make this blok easyer but i want ask ..... groundstrafe and hyperscroll.... is that legal or not?
