Hi guys,

i have a little problem, when i make my wad files or extracted others my hammer crashes when i try to import them.

so is there any way to fix that?

Make sure you create them right, open Wally -> New -> HL Package (.wad3)(.wad)

And add the files, make sure they are in Bitmap format (.bmp) and 24bit, should work, at least that's how I create them.

It's weird. cuase thats excatly how i do... but the problem still remains :S

open a wad from your cstrike folder, delete all the textures from it (if you want) add your textures(drag and drop), the format should be .bmp, .jpg etc, and make sure the dimensions are dividable with 16 (32x32 128x128x 256x120 etc, but not bigger than 512x512)
Hit File>Save as and enter the name you desire...
Load the wad in hammer and you're done

Tryed youre way FuZzy1, but it seems like the problem sill remains

Then you probably have some corupted textures (jpgs bmps) or too many files in the wad...

well then its somethinkg really wrong, cuase i do just like sn00p says and there are absolutely not to much files n the wad. cuase im only using 1 image in the wad...

sn00p mapper20/03/2011 17:37(edited 20/03/2011 17:37)

Add that image to another .wad that you're using and see then. Also to many files in an wad isn't a problem, I have wads with 300+ textures in and no problem.

Gimme some more info about VHE, any other .wads that you're using etc...

What's the name of the texture?

I tryed to put it in a allready existing wad that i have, but it still crashes.

Im using VHE 3.5 and standard wads like zhlt cstrike n such. Ive been able to import like 2 wad files whitout crashing. For them i used GCFscape and extracted them
