Badges.
Hello friends,
Since I have been quite active in this website lately, I've decided to make this thread. I am having lots of fun here and I would like to make this site a more pleasant place for the members(or at least I could try).I got this idea from the bulgarian website for video sharing "www.vbox7.com". How about adding badges below each person's avatar. For example, in vbox7, there are badges for different activites. The badge called "COM" is possessed by the people who post comments which are highly-rated. There are different badges like "HOT","SUB","GRP" and others. Moreover, these badges may inspire people to avoid making spam posts and such stuff. Probably you do not want to copy an idea from another site, so we could think of other varieties. I just posted a suggestion, which sounds fun.

A reward for good behavior is one good thing to do. Instead of just punishing trolling, spamming and such, make the user proud of his constructive observations. If I got it right since i'm sleepy, It's one of the best ideas for the good development of this site. Users could take part in improving XJ : rewarding is a good parenting technique.
Only thing I can say that at the moment we don't have time to code new things. Like you know (http://xtreme-jumps.eu/comment.php?comment.news.1394), we are building new design. This might get more attention after we have released 100% working "new" site. But good suggestion, like zgooh said, the most friendly persons here deserve some attention while spammers get punished..

I fully agree with the idea that good behavior should be rewarded.. After all you can't only punish people - you have to reward them too :-)
Would be fun if there where badges for completing certain maps with different weapons or on a specific time. :D
Well, that wasn't my exact point. I was talking for the website, but hey.. that's a nice suggestion, too. :)
I fully agree with the ideas mentioned by nobody^ and Fruggline, but this won't be so easy. Good luck if you're going to do it .
Well, during the creation of the new design, we can't be sure if this idea will be developed or not. :-)

Ahh yes this would certaintly be nice to implement.
Some basic suggestions:
Badge for how many years you've been a member 1, 2, 3...
Badge for doing a certain amount of posts 100, 500, 1000...
I couldn't think of anymore website related ones but on the servers there could be badges to get like these ones:
Number one on 10, 20, 30... maps.
Public WR.
And beating maps under a specific time with an AWP.
Now this would bring alot more players to the servers, but it would also be hard to implement. So it shouldn't really be top priority, but if any programmer of yours feels up to it i think this would be a fun addition to XJ.

This should be implemented as fast as possible.
Horrible idea... No reason to award people not acting like retards. Instead keep giving awards to the people acting stupid (with that i mean red triangles)
