Export textures from other games

Hi guys,

Well, i was wondering if its possible to extract textures from other games. Im not talking about games like CSS.

More like PS1 games and such. Like crash bandicoot, final fantasy or w/e.
Its not really important wich game it is. Just if its possible

you need a jpg or bmp file , than use Wally and create a .wad file =/

With Texmod you can, not sure about the ported ones from PS1/2/XBOX etc.

nerv. i know how to make a wad file, i just wondered if it was possible to extract images from other games.

And btw i found it possible to download wad files from games. But they arent in wad3 format. Just wad. So i was wondering if its possible to convert them somehow?

you also could download a emulator from ps1 or whatever and print screens your owns textures =x

@edit i saw this on a Zelda maps =]

PS1 games have very low texture quality (64x64 if I remember right)

It is easier to search for similar textures with higher quality and do a little edit on them.

Don't get stuck on PS1, i men in general. Lets say PS2 or PS3 then. I dont really care. Just if you maybe can download a emulator and then export textures from a game.

And that whitout taking screenshots.

I think its better if you Google some textures instead of ripping them (just my view) I found 128 px 128 px crates for crash by one search so whats the problem?
