How do you ground strafe ?

i want to learn GS but i don't known how ? it is too hard
(i thing it is very short bunny)
pls help me this question
- How to duck (what key you bind "duck")
- How to move mouse (angle = ?)
- How to sync press left right and duck
1. "bind "mwheeldown (/up)" "+duck"
2. 1 strafe for each scroll.
3. I think you kinda answered that yourself.
- Practice, practice, practice. You wont learn this in one week.

Really? This means very fast strafes then since a Gstrafe is like 1/5 of a jump. Always thought you shouldn't move your mouse that fast? Can't you do 2 scrolls per each strafe or will you lose speed?

No. 1 strafe per scroll.

No. 1 strafe per scroll.
I guess he meant another way of gstrafing, which is easier (for me) to make. Dunno how its called exactly but thats the way you do 2 ducks left, and right.
Helpful topic indeed. I also got trouble with G strafing, I make like 3-5 ducks which are "good". And still, when I watch some movies which contain G strafing I still get amazed. I guess that practise is the key. :-)

logitech g500 with hyperscroll ..... turn HS on ... roll strafe roll agan strafe ..... easy to do i can make how mutch i want without any skill
gs is very easy ,but need a lot of practise to sync your duck with strafes :) It is my method..

It's easy to learn on surf_ski2. Before you enter the high tower you can groundstrafe with alot of speed.
I'd recommend to practise Groundstrafe first at drops. Maybe drop from something high, and start to scroll. Keep the numbers small, you don't want to mess it all up at start. I'd recommend 2-3 ducks at first. Once you've managed to do them well, move to 4-5 ducks etc.
If your having huge problems at Groundstrafe, then you can practise in 100aa. (Which sucks, but has a great practising opportunities for such techniques like Groundstrafes and Double-Countjump etc.)
Remember it's easier to do (and practise) Groundstrafe if you drop somewhere.

it's pretty much the same thing as bunnyhop, u just need to scroll your mouseweel 1-2 clics per strafe. also in the beginnig much easier to learn g-strafing its using speed boost at start, like jump from higher ground or using surf.

sorry if i bump on a old thread but just wanna ask do you scroll 1 NOTCH of your mwheel per duck? cos during bhop it isnt necessary to do 1 notch per jump. is there any way to do it such that u dun need to do 1 notch per duck. my deathadder mwheel is too soft imo compared with the g5 i had before..had difficulties now.
I'm NOT a g-strafe expert but I belive you use one notch staRRy, if you use more you don't airstrafe good i think.
