How to start?
Hello xtreme-jumps' users!
I would like to ask you about what programs should I download for the first time and to learn some about moviemaking ? If you can give me links with names of programs I will be glad to see it :) And any hints ? Please answer me :) I'm waiting for your help guys! :)

That's correct. Well, at least for 2 years you have a peace :) Because in order to embrace these programs in the advanced level (especially SV), it so much are needed.

Hi AMaze!
You will need Sony Vegas,HLAE,VirtualDub and some codecs for render out from VDub and Vegas.
Using 3D software for CS 1.6 clips destroys it in my opinion.
In order of actions for the movie,follow this:
1.Make intro-some cool campaths with chilled colors,some blurred in-eyes and a great song.
2.Trick/Jump part-use the same song.
***IMPORTANT*** Random music switches destroy the whole clip and make it unenjoyable to watch.
3.Outro/Credits/Greetings part-here you put some campaths,greetings or some info about the clip e.g. The path of Glory .. Made by AMaze /// Software used : Sony Vegas,HLAE and other cool stuff.
4.Moviemaking community intro(if you join a team)-you can put it in the beginning of the clip,in the end of the clip or even in the middle,you just have to do it synchronized.
About the quality settings,the best thing to do and to get HD and HQ is to use 1280x720 resolution in Vegas and HLAE.Project settings must be :
Template : HDV 720-30p (1280x720, 29.970 fps)
Width : 1280
Height : 720
Field Order : None (progressive scan)
Pixel aspect ratio : 1.0000 (Square)
Frame rate : 29.970 (NTSC)
Full resolution rendering quality : Best
Set "Start all new projects with these settings" to on.
Then click OK.
On render settings use the following:
Render loop region only must be allowed.
File name : random name.
Save as type : Video for Windows (*.avi).
On Template click Custom,now:
Video rendering quality - Best on the Project tab.
On video tab use Video Format : Uncompressed and Interleave every (seconds) must be set to 0.000.
Now click OK and then Save button.It will take a while depending on the system.
After rendering,download the Lazze's Xencoder ( http://xtreme-jumps.eu/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?282454 ) and use the High Quality Preset.On the input file select the rendered-out from vegas file and on the output file select destination to save the encoded video,then click start encoding and wait a while.After encoded you can upload to YT and have fun.Hope i helped.

capture the demos - make them to videos, to uncompressed avi-video files you later can edit in your moviemaking program.
the best way to do this: open cs with a tool called "HLAE", the right moviemaking settings (a few commands you have to understand, dont just copy some randy "moviemaking.cfg") and the command mirv_recordmovie_start to make pictures you later put together with Virtual Dub for a video file.
sounds compicated, but once done its a simple process.

for virtual dub you just pull in one of the imagefiles HLAE made for you, set the video - framrate - set fps to 'XXX' to the fps you used in HLAE and save as avi

edit the video files with some editing-software. indeed sony vegas should be the best choice for now. play around with vegas, try out all effects, check what options you got. in the end - render it. no srsly usefull tutorial for this, just try to find out how it works, its rly not that complicated
generally, when its about to make a real movie: keep it as clean as possible, tehcnically, no strange bugs, good graphic card settings, just avoid ugly things because you wanna make it fast or something, its the basic of every enjoyable video.
for the start that should work out, if you get into trouble or have questions about mentioned things, try to research it. google is the best way to go
