I dont know where the difference should be :D
A mouse is a mouse and with the same technique, there will be no change.
The only possibility is, that you're new mouse works much more precise than the old.

No difference. LJ records depend on your strafestyle, timing, but not the mouse(except your old one was really buggy)

A new mouse can be a decision only in the bhop-case (imo)

How much space you use to move depends of what sensitivity you use. example: if you use sens 1 ,you will probably need all of it. if you use sens 20, even the slightest shake of your hand will make the mouse fly like crazy.

Before I buyed mx310 I was playing with some king samsung mouse Oo.. It was to hard to "feel" the taming at longjumping and bhop.. Whit mx310 I discovered a lot of new things in kz ~ longjumping, after hard practise did 250units. Mouse helped me a lot, imo

Pretty much what I wrote in chatbox but I'll say it again here. Before I used a crappy generic wirless Logitech mouse. It got the job done and I was pretty good with it and did 245 the day before Christmas. For Christmas I got a Logitech G7. I did 241 after a day or so but my strafing and bhopping both are total crap right now. Longjumping didn't really get that much harder/easier but everything else is going to take a lot longer to get used to in my case.

You have to practise :E imo, longjumper have to think about strafing write not just making fast strafes, I jump a lot those longjumps and every time a start thinking about some thing else and dont consentrateon on longjumping, corectstrafes I cant do 248+, only when I prepare every jump in my hand, every strafe only then i fly ^^

I got a g5 for xmas and today I did 240-244 first try. I think it was just a fluke though because it took me like 10 minutes to get 245 and I couldn't get 246 at all.

KNiFEAR27/12/2006 11:11

the mouse ofc is a important device in longjumping, but really i think u'll need skills aswell
buy the g7 or watever ur planning 2 do, then after u've practised with it alot im sure u cannot fail doing hard lj's,but u'll need alot of practise

VanillaTwist27/12/2006 18:59

Isnt G7 wireless? I thought wireless mouse was bad for gaming..but im probably wrong.

Maxohhz27/12/2006 20:22

VanillaTwist: yes they are bad for gaming IMO cause there is a little delay and u don't have the same accuracy as if ur using a wireful one :P

godo: there isn't any lj mouse, if u want to jump 2 units up you just have to improve your skills. you cannot say "guys if i buy this mouse will i jump farther?" it sounds a bit silly :S

Chrizzy mapper28/12/2006 00:59

I like wireless best, but nevermind :P

Anyway, i have g5 which btw is the same as g7(but g7 is wireless). Took me some days, maybe even a week to get used to jumping and longjumping. When i got used to it i did 242 5 times in a row, with my old mouse mx700 i only did 240 a few times.. So i would say buying g5 or g7 would not be bad.. Once you get used to it it will be easier in my opinion, but everyone is not the same ;)
