Actually, what word you should use is cognitive thinking. But so does many other things solving puzzles helps ALOT more, GH improves reflexes which solving puzzles doesn't.

But in the mean while, playing actualy guitar does this also, which I highly prefer instead of expencive game :P

CS have improved my reflexes to the extreme anyway... GH is fun with friends, but boring when you're playing it alone.

Really, really doubt that. Someone might've modified it to work like that but you made it sound way too easy.

First off by pressing those buttons you don't send a soundwave signal, only a one freqency signal that the computer (your console) interprits as either of the 5 buttons. With an actual guitar you'd have to modify your computer enough to translate the different frequencies given by flicking on string of your guitar. Being a string the frequency varies because of resonance among many other things. You'd have to build your console it's own analog to digital converter... Well not the converter but program your console to analyze the data coming from the converter which I doubt is already programmed in any of the consoles of today.

It is possible, but not something everybody could do and tbh really pointless given the amount of work needed to get it done. :P

PS. All this assuming Sony or Microsoft haven't build one of these thingies already so you can just plug and play.
