"Rewards" for beating WR

How about rewarding people for setting/beating new WRs, for example with points that can be traded for VIP-memberships, or different goodies (Colored Username, trying out new maps, or things like that)?

This way you can motivate people to work on WRs, instead of not playing because most WRs are too "perfect"

You can also add different amounts of points, for example setting a WR on a new map, or an existing one that has no WR yet would yield many points

And the "point value" of maps increases over time, for example X points every month, so the longer a WR stays unbeat the more points a person would get for beating it
After beating it the "point value" would again reset to the normal point-value and the map would start accumulating points anew

Reward people with money lol they don`t care accually about vip or etc.If you really want to reward some people just post a map example : kz_kzsca_mineblock , time under 11:00 minutes reward : 10 $ or how much you want

If you get rewarded with a shirt I will definetly start recording! Not. But seriously the only thing a community like this can give away as a reward to recorders is stuff like vip's etc. as you already mentioned.

However, I feel that ppl who are actually interested in recording find it entertaining and like to spend their time that way. These ppl do it, not for the reward, but for the joy they get from it. In my opinion it should stay this way.

What about the mappers? They deserve rewards.
