difference between Laser and Optical mice

Is there a bigger difference between Laser and Optical mice when it comes to jumping in CS? Cause im going to get the Steelseries Ikari and i dont know if it is worth spending an extra 10$ for a Laser since i dont care so much about the little better aim and small specs.

Ive played with the ACE EDGE3200 Laser mouse and the Deathadder and i think the deathadder was better for everything even tho its an optical mouse so is it worth getting optical version then? :/

i did discover a difference between them =D
i noticed that when you do a really really sharp turn with optical mouse, it gets out of control, like if you would do a sharp turn to right it could go like up or down, left or right and so on randomly,
but i didnt have that problem with g5 laser mouse
also laser mouses(i think) can work on a various surfaces, that optical's cant. so if you will buy optical, you will need a nice mousepad aswell
