Hammer 4 (source sdk) Problem...

So after a long time of working perfectly, my hammer for source games will not open up anymore. I checked the event viewer logs and found this error:

hammer.exe - System Error

The program can't start because Steam.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.

I've googled my balls off to no avail and tried reinstalling SDK, resetting configs, verifying game integrity, and getting a fresh Steam.dll.

nothing seems to work, not even running hammer from its location in the steam folders.

Did u tryed to delete hammer.exe?

nvm its working now! all by its little lonesome. not sure why but who am i to question it :P u can close this now
