Good Connection - BIG PING ?!
Hi guys i have one question.My connection is 2048 kbps i think its good but in i-net gaming my ping is like 200-300 ping , WHY ? :( Its unfair .Are there any configs or smth for resolving the problem ?
First of all, its not a "good" connection. Theres no config that can help you to lower your ping that much. The only thing you could change here is "cl_updaterate 101 cl_cmdrate 101 rate 20000" but that doesnt change your ping more then 1-10. I wanna know what servers you are trying to connect to? are they located in your area (your country)? or is it in another country(if so, your ping wount be that good.)? You could also ask your ISP (internet service provider) to remove your "pingfilter". And ofc, shut down all programs that uses bandwith (dc++/irc/msn/torrent and so on)
stukad it doesnt matter in which server i play (in my country or not ) My ping is good like 30-40 and sometimes (in period of 30 sec) like someone is grabbing me or its lags A LOT.And sometimes i have message "Warning cl_flush....) .Why is like this do you know ?
10/01/2007 00:49I think the problem isnt with ur config/cs but probably with ur ISP, rooter or whatever... have u tried playing some other online games to see if u have the same prob?
I really think this is a hardware problem then, like eiRa said, ISP,router ,modem or cable.. try to check some other game and see if you still have that bad ping loss. if so.. its your hardware for sure. also, call your ISP and tell them to remove your pingfilter.

i've had that message too.. in the upper right corner of my screen comes a message saying: "Warning: CL_FlushEntityPacket" tho, its gone now and i have no idea why x) havent done anything, it just disappeared suddenly :P
yea... i sometimes have those probleme, too...
but i dont care
1. i mostly play kz in offline mod and then it runs perfectly
2. if i lag i shut any programms down, wait or if there is this cl_flush problem i just hit my computer a bit... then it works
other possibility is to push the windows button (between "alt" and "ctrl") then i open the cs again and the lag is over

High pings in Windows7 ?
Solving with:
Part 1.
Goto start menu>right click Computer>Manage>Services and Applications>Services then search for Multimedia Class Scheduler.
Switch startup type to Disabled. (Startup type: "Manual" does not work)
Part 2.
Goto start menu type Regedit in search push enter then locate
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Audiosrv\DependOnService
Right click Modify and remove MMCSS from the list then click ok.
Reboot.

you have a netgear router?
i have 2k inet too (and yes, it is really enough for online games). but since i changed from my old router to a new netgear router, i have much problems with online games too.
i have good ping (no pingfilter because there is no thing like pingfilter on my cable-isp), but in cs, serverlist will find very less servers. i cant connect on much servers, i got loss/chocke on much servers, and also often lags and cl_flush_entity thingy...
i googled much about it and many person wrote about havin such problems with netgear routers.
