What's sport for you !?
Hey i wanted to ask what's your opinion on this subject.
Are sports only the one you pur hard musle and swet in or esports, chess and the rest that use more brain than musle sports too ? Leave your coments here!
Everything you can compete in and that needs physical/mental effort can be considered a field of sport. Though I releate sports more with physical activity.

I do 3 kinds of sports : Football, futsall (football inside) and I work out.
Working out for me is just simple; making myself fitter and stronger
Football and futsall for me is the fact u can compete with other teams. I like to win so thats the most important thing for me. Next to that I like the fact of tricking players, and showing great things and also making uber combinations. Last but not least, physical parts in football; hard tackles etc. Luv it!

not true... sport ain't related to "professional" I guess there's no perfect definition for sport, but for me, it's about a physically / mentaly activity which is "supervised" by some rules. And last but not least, it's about respect and fun.
i played tennis for ten years.
my opinion is that sport is averything that you can compete in! but thats only my opinion ^^

exacly! and you can compete in anything :P if you can compete in whos eating the most then you can call anything a some sort of sport :)
Cuz sports doesnt mean having sweat dripping from your face and being able to run 5km before getting tierd :)

haha :) im not fat if you think so xD more like underweight. And im just giving fotball as an example cause its pretty damn pointless xD but thats my oppinion. thats what the thread was about. And you should know that motorsports such as FMX/MX is one of the most exhausting things you can do on a bike. But of course you dont know cuz you havent tried it.

Obviously your opinion is very onesided, considering the fact that "esport" is considered the smallest aspect of sports in the world.

You should really reconsider what you write in this forum while your post could be understood as you disrespecting sports that has "goals" and "balls/pucks/whatever"
and i highly agree with gargoyle about that smashing thingy. eh.

i dont "disrespect" sports. Ive done sports before but some sports are just pointless + i hate playing football. And Esports isnt exacly a small sport, just look at korea.
And cuz i dont like sports you feel like smashing my head? HAH, thats pretty sick. Still this is about your own opinion so enough about my opinion now..

Saying something is pointless is disrespecting if you didn't catch my drift.
And if you put it that way i could say: Look at entire europe (including korea) and look at the US, southern america, africa and asia, they all play football and have national teams in each country.
If you think football seems pointless to you then i wouldn't feel any anger (or w/e ) you wanna call it but when you say that "it's pointless" you really puts it in another perspective and instead of letting others know your personal opinion your ratherly mocking the sport itself.
Ontopic: Sports for me is anything competative, im a really competative person and i could even count arguments as a sport (hehe)

"Football is pointless" - How is it pointless opposed to everything else in life? You have a match, whoever score the most goals win.
Just because YOU were bred in some home where they don't care about sports, cause they'll rather spend their time watching soap operas, or cook family dinner together, it doesn't make it pointless.
"Some sports are just pointless" - if you find football, a sport with millions of viewers around the world, a sport of skill, tactic, speed, strength. Then please name me ONE sport that is not pointless in your eyes.
On topic.. What I consider sports, include physical activity and not just brain. Esports isn't a sport along with football, gymnastics etc.
You don't call chess a sport either.
It doesn't mean it takes less effort to be among the elite of gaming (actually it does compared to real sports, but that aside). It just means that calling it a sport is wrong.
