BHop + Wiggle
I notice in alot of demos that people are wiggling when they BHOP
and they never lose speed could someone please explain exactly how they do that? I've just recently started doing kz maps and first bhop map i did is bkz_goldbhop i have gotten my time to 4:50 and im trying to work on improving my bhopping a little bit any information is greatly appreciated thanks
Did you look in the Different jump techniques thread? It's on top of this forum. It will be useful if you don't know how jumping works.
Yea, i just don't quite understand how they're doing it in a bhoh.
Which jump technique is that?
I think the technique u are asking for is Stand-Up Bhop.. i don't now if there is a guide if not some pro jumper here will explain it to you ;)
And that wiggle you said maybe is Strafe ?
Here is Strafe Guide
And here is Strafe Video-Guide

It's like Dogos^ said, it's called stand-up bhop.
You press duck at next bhop and release it before you land again and repeat that. It's not necessary 2 do it on all bhops. It depends on the difficulty of the bhops as well :)
I would suggest that you practice on your timing (if you need 2) so you don't have 2 think about it. The rest will fallow, don't worry about that. You mentioned that you were pretty new 2 this, remember, this might take a while 2 learn. Just have paitience ;p

Yes,agree with elITe
imo,timing's of primary importance.
Duckboosts are the most usefull thing in bhoping , to pwn a hard bhop map w/o them is impossible
Scooter is right, being able to do a standup bhop is alot more useful then it may seem at first. And it took me a few days to realise that i had to unduck BEFORE i hit the ground, not when i hit the ground.
Using the duckboost in CS matches are fun, doing it off railings to random locations and the like. (Heck, annoying your friends because you keep getting into random little locations they coulden't dream of is fun ... im not evil >.> )
Though the 'wiggling' you see would have to be strafing. When you get good consistant strafes you can use strafing to boost your speed in just about anything, and multistrafing between bhops is a really good way to keep your speed up. (Or, with the use of the duckboost, a good way to regain some lost speed)

if u r a beginner then dont try standups
its better then u try to make normal effective bhops with some n1 strafes(more in the strafeguide or whereever)
if u can do this and so on then try to make standups
hm...then an other question from me:
i'm not as new as Tintizzy i pwnd already some maps
but there are still maps i cant pwn for example it's VERY hard for me to pwn some things on arizonabhop (2nd bhopspart after u get on the higher platform)
or extremedesert... do i have to practise standup? because i never did it before
(--> but i already noticed that when i duck at the end of a bhop-"level" to get the last block i get a lil' boost)
:!

NO ! :D
Learnin with standups is more usefull imo cuz when u get a n1 bhop without them and ur already used to normal bhoping w/o duckboosts its rly hard to learn them imo
ye but when i remember my first days then i cant recommend do to such a "hard technique" which requires strafing on mass, timing and such things
btw boolish still try to improve your skills
you can do xtremedesert "quite easy" with normal bhops
it has been created for normal bhops and no standup crap thats why all those maps got destroyed
sorry but thats the truth imo
all ppl say ahh standups are great and they want harder bhop maps n stuff but whats if theres a map where all jumps are as hard as 245 then u cry fools!!!
hardly ridiculous
and theres no difference its only because good players like ted seak or others dont really play anymore
they were lj kings and bhopkings too
its just sad that there are only standups geeks and easy maps which sucks asses(not the maps n stuff but these motto "ez maps only")
i only produced hard maps(sure also others but atm i only see ez maps, there are also execptions like kz_world and so on) and in the beginning when many "pros"(today) were noobs all cryed ahh those hard maps and today they are much easier(also nonbhop maps)
i just wanted to say that and i know that it isnt the topic
*i wait for those wnb comments from wnb jumpers*
hahaha :D
PEACE
WORD InsenN <3 love you for this :)
standbhops are uBereasy... just practice... :P
Well, I've been doing bhop maps for probably 3 weeks and it seems like i got the timing and all down i just want to be able to go through a whole map such as bkz_goldbhop and never stop i practice this map all day i have my own server i practice on it just seems like i really don't progress anymore. It's like im stuck at a certain point and can't get any faster.
play mroe normal maps to get a better feeling and try to combine jumping with bhops if is possible
only bhopmaps dont bring u further
So play a map lets say kz_wsp_islandclimb and try to bhop the jumps?
dunno the map :D
hmm first play normal blockmaps to get a better climbfeeling
for instance terablock or gigablock(without sc)
hmm some climbing/bhopmaps are icevalley and hmm dunno :D
im not that active wait until some others write in here :D
The best non-bhop map to practice just about any bhops? Like Insen said, Icevalley .. hands down, you can't not bhop on that map. :D

try to do kz_cellblock...
10-15min e.g.
and like the other say: icevalley, mountez ect...
