I just reinstalled Windows 7 and installed the 280.26 drivers for GTX460 and i have no scaling options in the nvidia control panel. Does anyone know how i can fix that scaling option back? :/ i cant play cs with a 1600x900 resolution, its disgusting.

ive tried removing the display drivers and let it update automaticaly.
tried the 266 drivers didnt work to scale
tried the 258 version that actually worked but bad preformance
tried the 275 drivers didnt work to scale

EDIT; I went back to 258 drivers and they seem to autoscale, gonna try update them tomorrow and see if the problem still exist. If not, i say f**k you windows 7 and go back to good ol' classic XP

Check that your resolution is correct in these places:

Go to your desktop and right click then choose NVIDIA Control Panel. In the left corner, under Display, choose Change resolution and make sure it's at where you want it to be.

After this right click your desktop again and choose Screen resolution. Make sure the Resolution setting here is where you want it to be as well.

The last thing to do is to open Counter Strike and go to Options - Video. Under Display Mode choose Widescreen and then change the Resolution to whatever you wish it to be.

well, it work now, the drivers i use now autoscale my games and its as it used too be.
BUT my drivers seem too crash all the f**king time <.< freezes my desktop for between 30seconds and a few minutes and then it restarts the drivres and sometimes dont. Then i have to restart my computer and its reeeaaaly annoying. This only happens when im not in a game or tabbed out of cs for example.
Ive heard that faulty RAM can cause this but last time i checked my RAM i let Memtest run for 2-3hrs and no problems were found. I also newly changed motherboard and HDD so its probably not those components that cause this.

Ive fixed this before a long time ago but sadly dont remember how :(

Do you get a bluescreen when this occurs? If so, write down the code that you see in it ax in STOP: 0xXXXXXXXX and then report it here.

no, i havent gotten any bluescreen because of this. Only got BSOD before because my motherboard and HDD was broken.

Download HD Tune here: http://www.hdtune.com/download.html and check if you get any bad sectors

no errors were found when running the error test

Would it be possible to reinstall Windows to rule out if it's a software or hardware problem? To me this sounds more like a PSU problem.

i just reinstalled w7 but this crash havent appeared in almost 2 days now, might have been fixed in some w7 update or something.
