Hey guys,

Was just wondering what do other people think of French music and espacially French Electronic music. And I'm not talking about David Guetta !!! :D

But what about the rest ?
What do you think about the french scene ?
Do you guys know some bands/DJ (was thinking of the most famous : Daft Punk) ?

Feel free to share any music or band you might appreciate ;)

P.S: I'll start some linkings with Lifelike's great track Lifelike feat Yota - Silicon Love

I like french electro, I used to listen dj's like Justice, Breakbot, Louis La Roche Daft punk ofc, sebastiAn and The Sterehoes :)

So true, but trust me, there's alot of other great DJ/Bands, like Cassius, Lifelike, Fred Falke or Allan Braxe !

For metalheads: Gojira, Hacride, Gorod, best French bands. Alcest is a really neat band aswell.

OT: rock: Phoenix made me like again french rock ( french rock was kinda dead since Noir Désir, imo)

hip-hop : i'm still listenin to the oldsql french rap : x-men, oxmo, Sages poètes de la Rue, La Cliqua, NTM etc... tho we can notice a sort of new wave which is coming inspired by those 90's bands

And finally , electronic wise, we have a lot of great dj's and producers. Just to name a few : Brodinski, Gesaffelstein, D*L*i*d, M83, Sebastien Tellier, Vitalic...

Justice & Daft Punk are quite good. I can't come up with any other French 'bands' at the moment.

In my childhood I remember about Daft Punk - amazing style, crazy music what I loved. Song "On more time" I listened like ~112321 times! Some time ago most popular artist was Stromae and La Roux, but I don't liked it much.

the only thing people can't blame france for is their electronic artists. Daft Punk, Justice, etc .. are just awesome.

Also, the only real "french speaking" music I listen to is rap / hip hop. Some very smart rappers out there.
