Only 1 account from 1 ip address? or what?

Why is it that you can't make more than one account from the same computer? I don't have a problem with it, but my friend has. He would like to register to the site, but when he tries it, he gets the message, smth like " you already have an account " and he is pretty sure he has never registered to the site.
And if so he has, he dont remember his email what he used nor the passwords or usernames. Now what? He cant register period? And what if my friend wants to just register from my computer? No, you can't do that. Lol why is that. Seems stupid.

I got this problem too , Someone from my town got registered with same IP and I wasnt able to , you just need to register from some other IP adress , easyies way to is from some other family member pc friend in other town/street etc

Yea well, if i want to make an account i want to make it at my pc, not somewhere else, library etc. Why does this have to be so hard..

mostly security reasons.
For ex. spambots, but it`ll not stop them just help a lil bit if you limit them like 1 user/spambot per ip, and not only for spam bots, for ppl that got ban. If they use the same ip that they used the last time they logged in before the ban = they cant sign up

And your problem i guess its not the ip maybe he used the email for another account on xj

Yes, but he made several new emails and tried with them. Not working.

It's part of a spambot/multiaccount protection that won't be removed, sorry.
