Hey man..

A have couple questions about the moviemaking video quality. I hope u guys can help me.
About the HLAE, in hlae got cvar, ("mirv_movie_bmp"), which type of image is more quality gain, .bmp or .tga?
In this hns movie, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nD-aemNiyCc , what resolution recorded, or smth.

Thanks!

The best image type for hlae is .bmp and (almost) all movie go on 1280x720 resoliution. For the best quality, render it with legion codecs and in virtualdub don't use any compression, cause than you will get the best quality

Maybe u can suggest me some codec in sony vegas for 1280x720 resolution?
Compression i only use for video compress, to 20-50MB.

+ question about hlae, first seconds on this video - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cwzQEPEURnM , its maked with campaths? or smth. ?

+ do hd textures lags a movie? after rendering or smth.

sorry about that more questions, but its help me a lot.

Well in the first video the first seconds are made out of 1 campath and some velocity in vegas.

I do not really know, but I guess not.

HD textures are okay they do not cause any lags
You can find plenty tutorials for campaths on youtube
For quality and small filesize use xvidcodec in vegas or try compressing avi with xencoder or h264 you can also find plenty tutorials

Some tips (common problems for newbies):
Never use 1000fps in hlae
Do not use too many encoders/compressions (with each one you get worse quality)
Use 30fps output in vegas (youtube can't handle 60fps)
Set up your graphic card properly , much newbies are having issues in rendering or even in hlae because bad graphic card settings , you can find guides for moviemakers by searching in google , also you can find an suitable config there

Wish you good luck
