Texture with sounds
12/02/2007 00:38Hi everyone, i get new textures, the CSProMod textures for 1.6, but ain't got no sounds, like metal or dirt...
Does anyone knows how to put a sound on a texture ?

12/02/2007 11:58It has something with the "materials.txt" to do.
You find it with the program "GCFScape". Open det program. Then open the "counters-strike.gcf" file.
Located:
X:\Steam\SteamApps
I dont remember, but I think the file contains some explanation.

but if u want that other players hear the sound too,
you have to give them this materials.txt...
easier way: you give your textures the same name like textures wich are already in the materials.txt...
but make sure that you havent loaded this textures in hammer!

13/02/2007 15:44Its best do take the same name like the other textures, the other way can be destroyed if someone download a other map with a diffrent materials.txt
