Hey guys i dont know if there was thread like this but i wanna ask or discuss about that what one is faster for capturing from HLAE, SDD or HDD ?

for example 1 frame per second = 1 picture = 3.8MB
then if i record 320 frames per second its equal 3.8x320 = 1216MB per one second

there is question whitch one is better for this rotating or reading disk

SSD have writting speed about 500mb/s thats mean u need 2,2s for capture 1s form CS.

HDD have regural speed about 7200rpm but equally priced HDD to SSD have 10 000rpm whitch equal 200mb/s writting speed that mean u will capture 1s from CS in 6,1s.

So thats mean mathematically is SSD better for capturing or Im completly wrong and capturing speed from cs depends on another devices like graphic card or processor ? ? :D

you're right.

Even better, make a RAMdisk and install cs on it. Here is my RAMdisk with typical DDR3 running at 1600MHz: http://i.imgur.com/Ui9OLYO.jpg
So we have a Write speed of 10GB/s that means it only takes about 0.1 to capture 1 second. Yessssss very good now go buy 16GB of RAM and make a RAMdisk and fuck yeahh

Actually i wanna buy some SSD and 16gb ram 8x8 kit CL 11 1600MHz so its cool but i need to wait for money :D :) thanks for tip Jonde.

I think it's quite obvious wich one is better for capturing.

its quite obvious buy something for 200€ for nothing.
better ask.
