Old Cs Fix tutorial

Hello guys,
im here to show you how to install old cs without new update.

first of all you need to download this file http://www.mediafire.com/?8icajphn5e9ikde

now, when you have succesful download it you need to go here Steam --> Steamapps --> common --> delete Half Life folder and copy the counter-strike old folder without instructions.txt

now take the counter-strike old folder and put it into common folder. make sure you have delete the Half Life folder.

after change the name from counter-strike old folder to Half-Life.

then you need to go Library right click on counter-strike 1.6 --> properties ---> updates and choose "Do not automatically update this game".

now you need to restart your steam, join cs and you have all old settings fps_max 101 fps_modem 101 cl_rate 9999 rate 25000 cl_updaterate 101 cl_cmdrate 101 :)

You are ready to play :)

I do that but when i want to enter a server i get freeze in the middle of the load.

yea this is only the problem.. when you stuck in middle of the load close cs and open again :) and you are ready.. :)

When I did version of this I had many mic problem with other players who don't have this done (robot sounding mics)

yea.. cause your players didn't have the old cs..

but i think this is not a problem..

verifying game cache fixed that error for me (if i remember correctly)

What do I have to do here exactly i.e. how to verify that game cache? I get the same error.

What do I have to do here exactly i.e. how to verify that game cache? I get the same error.

I think doing what i wrote doesnt fix that error, but try going into the properties menu and the BETA tab then select none, and to verify files you just go on the localfiles tab and then verify button

Mhmm thanks, but it just restored that shitty valve update. I had to remove everything in the common folder again and then it worked.

It's like the 3rd time I'm doing this, Valve keeps dating steam up eventhough I clicked "no automatically updates". What's wrong? Will this forever go on like this?

sounds weird that it keeps updating cs even tho you have unchecked that function :/
Only happened once that i had to update the cs, then i just put the oldpack back and I never had an autoupdate after that

That way to bring your cs back helps months ago but not anymore(maybe for me only :\ )..I do everything you wrote and many other ways but did work..I start thinkining that that update of resources buggem my pc settings,because i have the same problem in non steam since then :\ ..

p.p i have problem with downloading the rar..it stops 10 sec before the full download..would you mind to upload it somewhere else

the download is fine for me like the other guys said its not working anymore
