Sooo, my brother just got his new computer and after building the entire thing, double checking all cables etc i plug it in, turn it on to see if it works. Everything powers up, all the fans and LED lights etc are working.
Then i try plugging in a monitor, and it doesn't even detect the computer (no error like: No signal).
Noticed that when the computer turns on there is no "beep code" during POST, i try removing a ram, still no beep code and trying the same with the GPU, not a single beep.

And after reading various forum threads i heard that it could either be the motherboard thats defect or something in the PSU thats broken.

+ My friend had about the same problem as me and when he sent in his motherboard and CPU they said both were broken when he got them.

So PC geeks, what do you think? Do you believe its the motherboard and do you have some fixes i should try?

If everything powers up (fans/leds), then the motherboard is not the problem. Considering the monitor doesn't get detected, it's either a GPU problem, a monitor problem, or the cable between them. Check them separately on different other systems (hook the monitor to a laptop with the cable you already have and also with a different cable, if they work, the GPU is the problem).
Also check the cables for the "beep codes" that they go in the right positions on the motherboard (check again, and also have a different person check with you, if they look ok, unplug them and start fresh)

i had the exact same problem when i build my pc. after lots of googleings it seemed that my motherboard wasn`t "eating" enough voltage so i attached another cable(a connector with 4 holes http://images10.newegg.com/NeweggImage/ProductImageCompressAll300/12-706-005-04.jpg) from psu to it.
before trying this - search in MB`s manual of instructions for that.
it`s supposed to add extra 12 volts if i`m not mistaken.

i'll try out what you guys said tomorrow when i got time to do it :)

but boom.dll, the monitor i plugged into the computer ive been using for my laptop and stationary comp, also tried my parents monitor but ill experiment some more before i contact the support and send it back, might have missed something obvious

If u get "no signal imput on monitor" probably its coming from RAM try to get out then put back again

oh, well just noticed one mistake i made, apparently the PSU i have doesn't include a 4-pin like that, and the motherboard seems to need it while also using the standard 24-pin connector.
But luckily adapters that makes it into a 4-pin are cheap :]

Finally got it working :)
It was that 4pin you were talking about so thanks for bringing it to my attention :D
